Spyware! The label maker works very well and the "P-touch design & print" software gives more flexibility than the last handheld label maker I had. My issue is with the software, which is required to print anything using the device. The software won't start without an internet connection. An internet connection isn't required to establish a bluetooth connection, so the developers have intentionally disabled the device in this situation. Disappointing It's ok, but the giant margin to the left of every label which demands manual trimming really seems to undermine the whole point of it. If I wanted something looking sloppy, I wouldn't use a label printer. (Also, a little bit bigger than I expected. Not taking any points away for that, but just something to bear in mind.
The idea is great, but I was very disappointed. The idea is great, but I was very disappointed. Every print I send comes out a very large excess of sticker and it wastes a lot of material, which is also not useful. Manual shear should be performed. And in general, the app for both Android and iOS is very meager.
WTF: Has a built in cutter and you still need scissors? Even though the unit has a built-in cutter, you still need to use scissors. WTF! The cutter can only cut the right hand side of the label. You will need to use a pair of scissors to snap off the 1 inch access on the left-hand side. Bazaar that it can only cut one side of the label and you need to carry around a pair of scissors.
Some glaring flaws This label printer has a lot of potential, and is only held back by a few significant flaws. First, it does not automatically connect to an iOS device when it is powered up. You have to go into your Bluetooth settings and manually connect every time you use it. I’ve never heard of a Bluetooth device that does not auto connect. Poor print quality, waste a lot of tape I used brother label printer long time ago, it was an old model with no connectivity to computer or phone, then switched to kingjim one (sr5900p, bought from Japan, not sure if it is avaliable in US). I know it's kinda unfair to compare this machine to a high end model. Save your money and get another higher end one. おじさんにはしんどい 物は良いのでしょうが、使用するアプリがイケてないです。 絵文字の後に文字が普通に打てなく、その方法もどこにも書いて無いし、おじさんには使いこなせなっかったです。
Bluetooth接続が大変便利 現場に持ち込んでその場でスマートフォンアプリからラベル印刷しています。 単四電池6本と、万が一の電池切れでもすぐに入手可能なのも良いです。 ただ印字品質は少し残念、、、 印字品質がもう少し良いと満点です。
