My dog started here as a puppy. He is now 11. The service used to be great but it has been on the decline for some time. I was left waiting with my dog in the tiny exam room for 45 minutes for the vet for my last appointment, I finally left. If it was the other way around well we know how that would go down. Dr. brainbridge was great, Dr. Mathieson is good as well however who you see constantly changes and it is very impersonal. Had a nice experience there when our dog got her bladder stone removed. My dog HATES going to the vet. At any moment, she will run to the door. The technicians/vet tried their best to make her feel ok and relaxed. Even the girls at the front desk would give her kisses. Really nice. They would also call me at home after the surgery to make sure that she was ok. As well as acknowledge any pictures sent via email. Nacho had a great (well, relatively speaking) experience at Queen West Animal Hospital. He's a horrible boy (cat), but the staff were very patient with him, even though he was trying to maul them. I also appreciate that the doctor didn't try to sell me a bunch of expensive tests, etc, that he didn't really need. Will be sticking with Queen West Animal Hospital.
Queen West Animal Hospital is by far the best vet in the city. The staff is always so helpful and friendly every time I am in there, and they truly care about your pet. I used to take my dog to another recommended vet, and always felt that all they cared about was making money and finding more problems with my dog that would require medicine. I had a sick puppy on my hands and my regular vet was busy so I called Queen West Animal Hospital hoping they would be able to fit me in for an appointment. The woman who answered the phone was able to book an appointment for me that afternoon. She also gave me some great suggestions on what to do in the meantime. When I arrived to my appointment they brought me into a room and the assistant asked me some questions and then went to get the vet. The staff at QWAH have always been wonderful and friendly. We have had to make some emergency appointments and they have been so accommodating. The stresses that come with a sick pet is always upsetting but Dr. Paula Fisher has helped alleviate this. She is compassionate, empathetic and never rushes our visits.
I love everything about this clinic. I will start out with the only "downside", which is that they are quite expensive. The vets and vet techs are extremely friendly and go out of their way to ensure all your questions are answered. I have a 9 month puppy who has been in there a bunch of times due to some unfortunate health sensitivities and they always are able to put my mind at ease and identify a direct course of action to remedy the situation. Highly highly recommend them.
Have had a variety of pets over the years and so have had a number of different vets with all the different places I have lived. I would give this clinic a solid 5/5 rating. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and seemed to thoroughly enjoy their work! I've been taking my 2 senior cats to this office for care for the past 2.5 years. The care has been excellent & I am extremely pleased with the help we have been receiving from both Dr. Tiffany Mason & Dr. Paula Fisher. I point the names of the vets out because 1) these women are both *excellent* veterinarians, 2) they are considerate of not pushing for a bunch of unnecessary things & 3) this office will have you see a different vet every time you come in UNLESS you ask & purposely set up to see who you want to each tim... read more
