Get directionsThey are thieves! Do not use them. My dog had a tumor removed from his tongue & also has a transitional cell tumor at the bladder trigone that's inoperable.I paid $13,000 for the tongue tumor to be resected & requested to have the appropriate specialists to review the case & discuss appropriate options on his post-op appointment which was scheduled for April 2.They refused to coordinate this, telling me that I would have to arrange separate appointments.I will never go back there again. Does anyone wonder who owns RBVH? Priv... read more

Hi Joanne, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Following our conversation on Monday, as we discussed, Roscoe would have been evaluated by our Internist in Internal Medicine on 4/2/25, and then our Internist could consult with the other teams to develop the best plan for him. Additionally, I wanted to let you know that the company that owns us is NVA. Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions. We hope that Roscoe is feeling well!
5 thousand dollars in less than 24 hrs and my cat still died. They didn't tell me he was declining until it was too late. I didn't get to spend his final moment with him. This place is a complete sham. Like others have said, this place will not tell you when it's time to let go. After reviewing his medical record This place made a medication error of lidocaine instead of atropine IV push. Charging such prices for less than subpar care is outrageous. I'm a nurse and that's a pretty scary mix up! Just goes to show the lack of... read more

Hi Audrina, thank you for sharing your experience with us. Our record shows that our client advocate had reached out in the past when you first submitted your review and again on 2/22/25 to try and address your concerns.
Worst vet experience I've ever had. Not knowledgeable. Not compassionate. They take your dog they've never seen before for a consult without you - I don't know how you examine a dog for the first time without finding out what the actual problem is from the owners. Ridiculous prices. They have their client care team reach out, who can't offer any sort of solution to your unhappiness with their care. Do not recommend.
Business response:
Thank you for sharing your concerns. We see you have been in contact with our client advocate regarding your experience with us.
This facility, in my opinion, would never tell you when it's time to do the humane thing and let your pet go. As long as you can still pay they'll keep giving you false hope. I also found that my pet, Bailey was not well cared for and was left with feces dried into him when we visited. Very sad. I urge everyone to spare their pet the abuse. I tell my story to everyone who'll listen and I keep hearing people say "me too!" Guess there are a lot of us who feel taken advantage of by Red Bank Veterinary Hospital.
Business response:
We're deeply sorry for your experience, Micky. We take euthanasia decisions and animal care very seriously. We're concerned about Bailey's condition during your visit and are investigating this matter. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve. We see your other reviews and we are truly sorry for your loss.
WARNING Do not go to this hospital if you can't afford to drop a small fortune on your pet. The prices are absolutely above and beyond what is reasonable. Even my vet is advising me against going there because of the prices. Fortunately I had the money, but I did not go in there thinking I was going to spend over $5000 for a stay of less than 24 hours. I have breast cancer and I haven't spent $5000 on that! Try Animerge in Somerville or Garden State Veterinary Hospital in Woodbridge. Hard lesson learned.
Business response:
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your visit to Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. Our primary goal is to provide the highest quality care for all pets, and we regret that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. We understand your concerns regarding the cost of treatment. In Tinsley’s case, the presence of foreign material in her stomach posed a significant health risk. To address this, we determined that using a scope was the best option to avoid surgery, helping to minimize her re... read more
DO NOT BRING YOUR BELOVED PET HERE! Zero stars... New location is cold, chaotic, and all about cost estimates. Vet would not perform requested test at scheduled appointment because "not protocol". That test turned out to be crucial and was only completed when we brought our baby into emergency. I will never return to this hospital.
Business response:
We are disappointed to hear about your experience at RBVH. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we take all concerns seriously. We understand your frustration regarding the requested test and the subsequent emergency visit. Our protocols are in place to ensure the best possible care for all pets, but we recognize that each case is unique. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your experience in more detail to better understand the situation and address your concerns. Please feel free to contact one of our Client L... read more
Pros -The facility and waiting area are clean and spacious. -Ample areas before entering for pet relief after a long car ride. -The time to be seen by the tech and doctor was reasonable. -The vets, techs and receptionists are friendly. -The doctor seemed informed about the condition and I did appreciate surgery wasn't the immediate remedy. -Time to complete testing and scheduling was reasonable/quick. -Our dogs were more relaxed than usual in this environment despite it being new to them. Sometimes our younger dog gets react... read more

A very regrettable experience at Red Bank resulting in the death of my rabbit. My 3 1/2 year old rabbit Chico was scheduled for a partial ear canal surgery. He was admitted at 7:30 am as scheduled for the 10 am procedure. By mid afternoon I was concerned because there had been no update and finally later in the afternoon I got a call that Chico "was next in line". Chico was made to wait 10 hours before start of the procedure. Supposedly he had access to food and water during that time. When I finally obtained the correc... read more

Although diagnostics were discussed. We were told staffing to conduct those diagnostics were not available. Again, this is supposed to be a 24/7 animal hospital.
Business response:
We are deeply sorry for the loss of your beloved Lucia. Please know that we take your feedback to heart and are committed to continually improving the care and support we provide. After reviewing Lucia's file, we see that several diagnostic and treatment options were discussed during her care. We understand how difficult it can be to make medical decisions, especially without a definitive diagnosis, and we regret that your experience fell short of your expectations. Your concerns will be shared with our management team and... read more
