Get directionsHorrible. Brought our dog for cataract surgery. Dr. Wringle did retina test and said our dog was a good candidate for surgery but told us he was going on vacation for 2 weeks. When we asked if it was safe to wait for the surgery Wringle said "Absolutely" . By the time he got back from his wonderful vacation our dog was blind. So my review is simply this hospital and Wringle are HORRENDOUS. INCOMPETENT !!!!!!!!!

I brought my dog to this hospital due to his prior history of IVDD and early signs of a possible issue. I was advised imaging was not necessary at the time. When his condition worsened and I returned to the ER days later, I was told no MRIs or surgeries were performed on weekends but come back when the Neurology department opened. This influenced my decision not to admit him. I bought him back hours later to learn that was incorrect and I missed the surgery window. By then, his condition had deteriorated, and he required em... read more

Due to Dr. Brodlie's medical malpractice, my cat experienced sepsis and I was forced to put her to sleep since I didn't have the $20,000 to fix her mistake.

The prices are incredibly, astronomical high. 90% of the tests they offer are unnecessary. The problem is that, unfortunately situation requiring immediate care usually arise when all local veterinary clinics are closed, and the only chance to your beloved animals is to take them to this place where the staff consists mainly of interns whose job is to keep the pet overnight, after which the money-making machine kicks in. The pet will not receive real care until they receive 75% of the estimated cost. This isn't about helpin... read more

Hi Bob, we apologize for falling short of your expectations. Your feedback has been noted. A deposit has always been a requirement of the hospital for many many years now. Other emergency/specialty hospitals also require deposits, so it is not unique to RBVH. If you would like to discuss this further please contact our client liaisons, thank you.
Beware, NEVER take your bird to Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. My beloved Golden Conure, Mongo, died due to Red Bank's negligence. He had another bought of Ganglioneuritis do to his ABV. I had treated it in the past when he showed symptoms and I normally had shots of gabapentin at the ready just in case. However, the night before he was showing symptoms and it was late in the day and my regular vet hospital was closed and I didn't have the shots on hand. I took him to Red Bank hospital and I told the vet what was going on. We... read more

After 18+ months of working with RBVH, when it came time to say good bye to my beloved dog, the only people we saw or came into the room with us, on one the hardest days of our lives, were strangers. No one we had worked with, no one who comforted us throughout the 18 months. The whole event was cold and sterile and it had left the most horrible lasting scar on our hearts. We will never go back there for any reason. At one point, we were so happy with the service and the care we would have given a 10'star review. Incred... read more

Dog went into RBVH on a Thursday evening with a blood disease. He was admitted and was discharged on Monday afternoon. The estimate was $7k-$11k and the bill was $15K. They have you over a barrel as your animal is sick and you are emotional. You will do just about anything so that your pet gets well. Good news: dog received round the clock care and has so far recovered. Bad news: I felt, and still feel, as if we were constantly being pushed for more and more tests. My dog needed a transfusion the first night and got one.... read more

Hi Lynn, thank you for reaching out. We understand your frustration regarding the cost estimate versus the final bill, and we take your feedback about the billing seriously. The hospital and the Drs do their best to be transparent about any additional cost with a pets continued stay in the hospital. We are sure the discrepancy with the Atopica was an honest mistake with it being refilled by the dr which we quickly acknowledged and rectified. If you would like to discuss this more, please contact our client liaisons at client... read more
I know this hospital and the doctors are very good there. When I go there, there is never an issue. But today I had a horrible experience on the phone with some scheduling person. I had a simple question about schedules, but she wasn't listening, repeating her spiel many times and talking over me. She held me on the phone until 5 p.m., after which she said I would need to leave a message. The place is pricey, and I just don't understand how they cannot afford professional personnel.
Business response:
