Just not as pleased as I once was with this place. My baked potatoe was hard, the bartender wasn't hitting the mark. My caesar salad didn't have enough punch! And the serving sizes for a delicous, very expensive halibut, just didn't make me scream, I'm returning.
Very disappointed. Worst service I have ever experienced in ny. Waited 43 minutes for our entree. They forgot the vegetables and the salads weere all wrong. Expensive place to not be taken care of. A place I used to frequent. I will not be back.
Definately not worth the overpriced food.
Usually much better. Undergoing renovation so part of restaurant is closed. Ran out of lobster by 9 on Saturday for a holiday weekend. Ran out of potato au gratin as well! The pretzel rolls were good and the free sweets at the host desk are always a nice touch. An expensive restaurant should not have had the shortages it did. I still recommend it.based on past experience.
Food was bland and overcooked - we had Tuna and a fish dish i only finished half of. as a Foodie I was not impressed. MAC and Lobster appetizer was good, but vegetables were without flavor and the potatoes were a disgrace. Lots of them with no flavor. Would never go back as they seem to have lost their way. I used to work in the building and was up-town so decided to try it again. It used to be special. Now it seems it is for tourists or out-of-town business people, but not locals.
The restaurant was good. Not a great value. For what you pay, you are better off at a chain like Capital Grille. Great location. Food was good but not great Staff was uninterested and sloppy. Not a great experience but you could hold a business meeting and get through it without embarrassment. In NYC, there are a ton of better choices. Go a little further south to Keen's. the experience is tremendous and food outstanding for a slightly lower price.
After walking 30 blocks in extreme heat to the restaurant for restaurant week, we were told the manager decided he wasn't doing restaurant week that afternoon. Needless to say we were annoyed. After some complaining they finally gave us the restaurant week menu.
I am very sorry to say, the food was tragic. I ordered a medium rare steak and after 3 try's I just ate half of it. They never did get it right. It also had no favor. The sweet potato mashed potatoes were very bland. I was very disappointed and the friend that recommended we eat here was also, because it used to be her favorite restaurant in the city. Very disappointed and very quality food....
Quite over-priced. The menu was not that great and the food was very mediocore.
