"Dancing Shrimp" specialty (Recommended by a Friend) no longer on the menu, even though it's still in bold letters on their entrance canopy. Questioned waiter and was told they are in the process of renovating and re-doing the menu. will no longer be available. Food was OK, but menu uninspiring. maybe re-do will be better. Very expensive
We have been going to this restaurant every summer for the last 5 years at least when we visit NY. However, this year we were very disappointed. The service was fair and the food was not up to par. For the prices, we expected more apmple potions and more flavorful engredients. We have always been very pleased in the past, but I doubt if we will be returning next year.
Arrived early Saturday (5pm) evening only to find out they were already out of the fish I ordered. So I settled for something else, which was delivered on top of some mystery food, totally unedible, unrecognizable and burnt. Totally disappointed and will never return to this establishment.
Dover sole was just warm! The timing between courses was too long. They apologized. Last time we went food was very good. Disappointed this time.
Have been here several times now. This is the first time I was disappointed by the food in particular the "dancing shrimp". The entrees are a bit pricey but the service makes up for it.
I have been having the paella at Red Eye Grill for years! It was the only thing I ever ordered as an entree. I would try other things, which were good, but always came back to my favorite seafood paella. I had friends in from out of town and sold them on the best paella I ever ate, even though I have eaten in Spain and many Spanish restaurants. I have been to the Redeye Grill a number of times in the past and thought the restaurant excellent, but this time the service was slow even though the restaurant was not busy and the fish was disappointing - one of our dishes was very good, the other mediocre. This trip was to a good value for the money.
W-Lan did not work in the restaurant and nobody was able to help.
Redeye Grill was extremly pricey and the waiter kept pushing side dishes which cost $12 for each. When you have a big party that could quickly add up.
