Our waiter had his favorite's. We were not one of them. We had to ask about the specials while other tables were given thorough explanations of the wine list. I had to flag him down to get another drink. Very disappointing. Most insulting, when we left he rushed over to the table to review the check. I've never stiffed a waiter, no matter what!!!

Went for Thanksgiving and the host had the nerve to ask my family and I to move to another table as we were having desert to give the table to a special customer. Completely rude and will never go back there again. The manager (his name was Sonny) was completely unprofessional and literally ruined our meal for us. Never, never again. The restaurant is like a factory, for tourists only and we regret spending such a special day in a place that treated us worse than McDonald's.

I have been going to Red Eye Grill for ages before concerts across the street. In all my visits, never has the waitstaff/host rushed us out of our table upon hearing we werent interested in dessert. The sushi was terrible and the rice was wet. My guest and I were extremely disappointed.

I am sorry to say that I was served the poorest filet mignon ever. I really do not believe it was filet mignon. I would have returned it but because I was hosting my clients I did not want to create discomfort. I asked my client how his NY Steak was and he gave me an OK, not great respnse. I was seriously dissapointed in Red Eye Grill and would not return again for a meal. Table was also small and rather cramped for four adults.

We stopped in for a late lunch. The last time I was in NYC with my husband (last December on business) we loved the food and the staff were great. So, I thought my best friend and my daughter would love it; so I insisted we take eat our lunch there on the 2 nd day of our visit. As the kids text; OMG, it was awful. We ordered the lunch special and the steak was so tough we could not eat it. The waiter obviously took his break while serving us. We complained about our steak and he just shrugged. I've been coming to Redeye for several years. The food just isn't as good as it used to be, but it's still very expensive. I probably will not be returning.

While the food was good the value was NOT. The food was good but no better than many restaurants serving the same cuisine. I'd not recommend going again unless you want to pay some real $$$. We all left hungry and we're not big eaters.

When first seated we were put at this cramped table right at waiters' station surrounded by families. Seeing other open table for two we asked to be moved. At this point we were seated in a dark recess of the restaurant at a handicap table. When seated it was 20 mins before seeing the waiter who simply asked for our orders, no cocktail or specials were brought up. Our table and four tables around us were joking about how bad the service was as we kept having to direct servers to the right tables and jointly ask for the check... read more

Had a reservation for 4 for dinner and arrived about 15 minutes early. We were told that there was not yet a table available and ushered to the bar.The host told us he would let us know when a table was available but seemed very put out that we had the nerve to walk in a few minutes early. About an hour later, we left. The host never came back to us and watched as we walked out the door without saying a word. In this area of NYC, there are many fabulous restaurants....Redeye Grill is not one of them. Rated food as "good" bas... read more
