University House is worth every cent. It honestly upsets me to know graduation is approaching and that my lease will come to an end this August. From each professional in the front office to the maintenance staff who ensures a clean and attractive complex, UH has truly become my home. If you don't live here, you're missing out! Any request, issue, or need is handled with urgency and care. So blown away that a place like this exists in Huntsville. Thank you UH!
If I could give zero stars, I would. My younger sister was living here while attending college, and during the last month of her lease, a severe plumbing/flooding incident that forced her to evacuate the apartment. Her belongings were damaged, and she could no longer live in the unit, yet they still took her full rent and utilities for that month without offering any reimbursement, alternative housing. The republic's business model lacks ethics and will take advantage of you. The staff repeatedly lied to me about mundane things, promotions, and basically every time I asked about anything. The price is not worth the size of the apartment. I am currently paying half the price elsewhere at twice the size. Keep looking! They do not care about upkeep, the gym had broken machines for the longest time, broken couches around the property, mold got painted over. I have personally lived there as a tenant. And wrote a review on Yelp and they had it taken down. DO NOT let your child live here! It is infested with roaches which they don’t care to fix. If you have any problems with your apartment Some how it becomes your responsibility to fix or you have to call the city. It is dangerous to walk at not and I was always fearful of someone breaking into my car.
