Roach infestation, black mold, damages thru out the unit, extremely dirty kitchen, it was requested to have room mates that did not drink, smoke, and have parties. well the kitchen had about 20 bottles of alcohol. trash in the living room. the lady who said was the manager was totally negative at not wanting to provide a new apartment nor did she want to cancel the lease and refund the payment made. Been a resident with for 2 years and they charge ridiculous fees. Turned in my keys just a day late and they charged me $195 for it. They’ll do anything just to charge ridiculous fees.

Concerning the current pandemic, Campus Advantage and by extension, the Republic at Sam Houston, has preyed on college students who have been impacted by COVID-19. The most they could do was eliminate the additional online fee for rent in a portal where the payment system may or may not show your balance. However, this is not my first time having a problem at Republic. Rent is way too expensive for what you get. The online payment portal charges an additional $15 as a "convenience fee" and they did nothing about the neighbors who were excessively loud all year long.

The online payment portal charges a fee to utilize it, the convenience being for residents that cannot always make it by the office to drop off a check. If you have any complaints regarding noise, simply notify a CA or inquire about our noise ordinance hotline you can use while the office is closed.

This place is awful! Do not sign. The office staff constantly lie about making sure you are happy. They overcharge you when their system for paying rent messes up. They steal lightbulbs and lie about what floor you are promised to have. Don’t waste your time here!

I have been waiting to write this review since I moved out in July, but wanted to get my final statement to make sure there was no unexpected charges first. DO NOT SIGN HERE. This place seems nice when you take a tour and everyone seems friendly but this is the last place anyone should want to live in Huntsville. My little sister just moved here due to Haven at M apts not being ready. I am EXTREMELY upset because they gave her the wrong apt #. The way she found out was by another girl coming in claiming that was the room the leasing office gave her. We received the keys to this unit around 10:30am, helped her get settled in, then left back to Houston. If I could leave zero stars for this apartment complex, I would. Since moving in, a year ago, there has been nothing but issues. I am now in my second unit at the Republic of Sam Houston & nothing has improved. To start, when moving into my first apartment, the problems were endless: the front door didn't shut properly, the dishwasher leaked, the toilet wasn't properly secured, mold in the outside storage(which they simply painted over)my clothing dryer didn't work... the list goes on.
