Just got hit with the surprise repair bill (straight to my credit card, no quote) . It seems that the Lifetime Warranty leaves a lot to be desired and Richard's definition of "wear and tear items" is wide open and conveniently ambiguous. So while it might say that "control valves" are covered, that only really means certain ones. Guess which category mine falls under? Our lifetime warranty covers many things and is not ambiguous at all. It clearly states " manual control vales" are covered. Your issue was an electronic actuator which is a mechanism that turns the manual control valve via the automation system. this is clearly not listed as a covered item. It’s been over a year that we reported a leak in our skimmer and other issues regarding our pool we endless calls, emails and even visits to the facility nothing has been done. I am dissatisfied with the proper response from the company.

Horrible customer service. I walked into the store and Boone came to help me. I could hear a man speaking. I walked to one of the rooms. The man was on sitting (back tired to the door and he could see customers walking to the store from the window he was facing.). I said hello, he turned to say hello. His phone rang, said wait a minutes and turned around to talk on the phone again. Horrible customer service.

I 100% do NOT recommend Richards Pool. Dealing with Mike has been a total headache and he does not honor his word. We were in the process of moving, so we did not have the time to really shop around. Called him and he sold me over the phone on his warranty and convinced me to pay $1500 for his design and he would throw the warranty in. I figured ok, worst we would be out is the $1500. This company is extremely disappointing. We started our project a year ago and we are still dealing with all the headaches. They do not proactively communicate! Also, they don’t plan ahead. We had thought about getting a new hot tub for a while. We visited Richard’s pool company because we thought it would be better to go to a local shop vs the trade show. My family had RichardsTotal Backyard Solutions build us a pool that was supposed to be completed in October of 2019 but we are still having problems having them complete a couple of issues with the pool . We have two low spots in the new sewage line that they rerouted to.. put in the pool so when any female products are flushed down the toilet the sewage line stops up . This company started my pool in August 2020. It's now October 2021 and it's still not done. I have to literally call/text at 8am every day to get updates with 90% of my calls going unanswered. If he does pick up, he'll promise to get you on the top of the subcontractor's list. It was all untrue. The most unresponsive company ever. Do not trust them with your project. Your better off elsewhere! They need to reword their mission statement and take out "integrity" because they certainly have none of that!
