We had water come into our house. It was not via the front or back door. It was via the right side of my house. The water came into my home via the weep holes into my master bedroom and closet. After investigation, it came to our attention that our pool equipment was also located on this side of the house. The slab that was built to rest the pool equipment was level to the top of the slab of our foundation. The only thing separating the slab from our foundation is a ¼ inch wide wooden joint. the hurricane created heavy rains and flooded your side yard the equipment pad was below the weep holes and the flooding on the side of your house went above the equipment pad and all along that side of your house. We cannot be responsible for acts of nature like hurricane floods. There have been many rain storms over the year since the pool was installed with no flooding but this was a hurricane flooding event

My complaint is about The Richard’s Total Care, the company that had actually built our pool, whom we hired to fix the pool heater. The Richard’s Total Care fixed a problem with our swimming pool heater in March of this year. I personally went to the company and requested the service call. I was verbally quoted twice $79 for the visit, but NEVER given any written estimate. Technician came to service the pools’ heater, but NEVER quoted the cost. We should have paused all repairs on schedule to make sure everyone was in agreement. Company was contracted to pour a cement slab and install a new hot tub. The cement slab job was not completed and poured in such a way that will cause damage to the property. Hot tub has operational defects that became apparent after 1 use, became unusable after 3 uses over first 5 days. Company was contacted multiple times, using different methods, over the course of a week and refused to contact me about the issue. Inexcusable to not return calls/messages. Just got hit with the surprise repair bill (straight to my credit card, no quote) . It seems that the Lifetime Warranty leaves a lot to be desired and Richard's definition of "wear and tear items" is wide open and conveniently ambiguous. So while it might say that "control valves" are covered, that only really means certain ones. Guess which category mine falls under? Our lifetime warranty covers many things and is not ambiguous at all. It clearly states " manual control vales" are covered. Your issue was an electronic actuator which is a mechanism that turns the manual control valve via the automation system. this is clearly not listed as a covered item. It’s been over a year that we reported a leak in our skimmer and other issues regarding our pool we endless calls, emails and even visits to the facility nothing has been done. I am dissatisfied with the proper response from the company.

Horrible customer service. I walked into the store and Boone came to help me. I could hear a man speaking. I walked to one of the rooms. The man was on sitting (back tired to the door and he could see customers walking to the store from the window he was facing.). I said hello, he turned to say hello. His phone rang, said wait a minutes and turned around to talk on the phone again. Horrible customer service.

I am writing to you regarding a pool I contracted with your company to build around 3 years ago. I am dissatisfied with the workmanship I received and the lack of a proper response from the company. Our decking has been cracking and other areas have actually broken off. I’ve been told that I can expect that this will continue to happen because of how the pool was designed. Our Construction Manager, Stacey ****, has reviewed the photos sent in by the customers and has spoken directly to the customer to get this matter properly resolved. We do agree that this is to be viewed from a warranty stand point and are not in disagreement to the comments made.

I 100% do NOT recommend Richards Pool. Dealing with Mike has been a total headache and he does not honor his word. We were in the process of moving, so we did not have the time to really shop around. Called him and he sold me over the phone on his warranty and convinced me to pay $1500 for his design and he would throw the warranty in. I figured ok, worst we would be out is the $1500. Never asked about our budget even though I told him early on we wanted to stay around $100K. Never came to our new house and look at the prope... read more

This company is extremely disappointing. We started our project a year ago and we are still dealing with all the headaches. They do not proactively communicate! Also, they don’t plan ahead. We find ourselves demanding communication and then receive nothing. A month ago I posted a concern on ******and we continue to see little progress. A week ago I posted a concern on ********.
