I am a current resident/ patient here at River Oaks. The counelors / therapists are outstanding and are happy to help you with any problems. The ammenities/ rooms are sub/par. The water in the residents rooms are hit or miss on temperature and pressure. DO NOT bring any clothing that to you remotely care about for their staff to wash!!! ALL of the womens floor whites came back looking like they were washed in dirt!! TA Adrian is a really good guy because he tries his best to help you out with getting your stuff when you need it. He helped me get my laundry when I needed an emergency wash. When I was on detox the laundry days were on the same day I arrived and when I switched buildings instead of making me wait for the next laundry day, Adrian looked out for me and didnt make me go without because he went above and beyond to help with my laundry. Awesome customer service

Miss Glenda is all smiles all the time! She is cheerful and talks to clients with respect. She always has something nice to say and goes above and beyond to help in any way she can. I think the kitchen wouldn't be the same without her.

Thomas the EVS guy has a great personality. He is so kind and caring, always positive and smiling. He will help out with anything I need and I know I can always count on him to help me keep my room clean, get me fresh towels and wash cloths, and just be that positive support and familiar face I need every day.

The intake nurse who did my admission was great because he was always smiling and made my whole intake process so much easier. I honestly feel he should be a doctor. AKA DR. DRE!

The night nurse Frankie always remembers my name which makes me feel special, like someone cares and is invested in me and my recovery. He give great care and always has a joke to share. He remembers your meds and has them ready to go when you get there. He's a great multi tasker which makes the nightly med passes so much easier.

I like when the staff is honest like Miss Karah. She is positive and funny, and she is very honest with me about the changes I need to make and the way my choices have effected my life. She is positive and you can tell shes different from all the rest. I respect her opinion a lot.

The therapist Demetrius, he runs the groups the best out of everybody and any groups I've ever been to. he is down to earth and will talk to you with respect. He knows how to keep his class focused which helps us learn so much better. I always learn something great from his class about life lessons, addiction, stinking thinking, or anger management. Super grateful for classes like these giving me valuable tools I need for when I go home.

Little Ray the tech always fights for the clients and deals with situations in a way that makes sure that everyone feels ok. She is super helpful and will go out of her way to advocate for you and make sure you have everything you need. I like how caring she is and wish all the staff were just as caring as her!
