Nurse Casey in the ladies dorm is really good at her job. She's nice and doesn't hold up the med lines unnecessarily. She knows her clients and their names and medications, she is very understanding when people are going through detox and doesnt make things difficult, She will help in any way she can and makes everyone feel comfortable.
MY Ta Keita is the besttt! She is really sweet and goes out of her way all the time to help. She is always at her station and doing what she's supposed to do, if she's not there she lets you know when she will be back and where she will be so we can find her if we need something. I appreciate the courtesy and compassion she shows because she makes it evident that she has respect for us and takes her job seriously.
I don't know how but Demetrius has had such an effect on me while attending his classes here at River Oaks. Each week we attend he offers certificates of completion for finishing all the topics. He is highly motivating n sharing his story and personal experiences plus just keeping it raw and giving great life advice. He makes you think in different ways that are very eye opening and has greatly impacted my recovery!
The ladies community loves our therapist and group facilitator Karah. The way she runs her groups make it so easy to learn and having her feels like having a second therapist outside of our own. She will always make time for you, answer questions no matter what, and tell you what you need to hear in the moment to change your perspective on things. Everyone should have a therapist as awesome as her!
I truly appreciate staff like Andrew who openly shares his story and is always willing to help. I can always turn to him when in need and get some good advice. He has a lot of experience and knowledge of recovery that he shares with us and always has a positive attitude. It helps make my stay more interesting having staff that are so easily relatable.
My favorite Nurse Heather always goes above and beyond for me and for every single person she comes into contact with. He she just super kind and cares about her job. I'm grateful for nurses like heather who make this an easier process and don't make it harder for clients than it has to be. I know I'm in good hands when she's on shift.
The techs are awesome and so relatable. Keita really knows how to handle her business and she handled a very difficult situation with a lot of grace and professionalism, She always puts the clients first and always speaks up for us. This place has been one of the best rehabs I've ever been to. These people really care about your recovery and do everything they can to offer the tools we need to succeed.
River oaks has an amazing family program and it has helped me to start healing the relationship with my parents. My family therapist Ray excels in his knowledge of family situations and has taught me so much about co-dependency. he is unbelievable informative and knowledgeable. I know my family is also thankful for him because he was able to assist us in coming together and understanding more of one another's perspectives and the disease of addiction. Huge thank you to River Oaks!
This place has done wonders for me! When I first came here I was so lost, in a deep dark whole of depression that I never thought I would get out of. The therapists and groups have helped me beyond what I ever expected. Demetrius and his groups are extremely motivational and supportive.
