I have been in this nursing home for over 4 years. I injured myself in a snowboarding accident. I have received probably 1 3\4 months of physical therapy. Its like they want me to stay here. The nurses on the 11pm to 7am shift are probably the worst I ever had . Morning nurses are very helpful. I have seen my doctor at least 8 times in 4 years. I'm pron to urinary tract infections, so bad sometimes it goes septic in my body. I have almost died two times and had covid-19 three times. This fafacility needs some chang... read more

Business response:

Hi Steven, this review is concerning on a few levels, allow me to clear the air and set the record straight: 1. We want nothing more than to have you progress and discharge to lower level of care (assisted living, board and care, or home with family, etc). We've tried on several occasions to leverage government programs to put you on a discharge path but you have been resistant. Given your change of heart and feedback here, we will restart this process and work together to make it happen in 2021. Your cooperation will be ap... read more

My father has been here just a few days and he's begging me to get him out that he's not ok here. He cant stay awake and appears he's being over medicated to keep him asleep. I called the main line and immediately whoever answered just picked up the phone and hung up. I called back and they took him a phone and he's barely awake, said he can't wake up they're drugging him. I told him to give the phone to the nurse. One person got on the phone, gave it to another person and I again said I wanted his nurse, she then ju... read more

During the Covid lockdown my mom spent 5 days at Riverwalk to receive intravenous antibiotics for an infection. During her stay she was neglected in every way. They neglected her oral hygiene and she developed an oral infection, they neglected her hydration and she became so dehydrated her doctor had to order intravenous fluids at our urging. It was extremely difficult to get a hold of a supervisor or charge nurse as the receptionist would just put us on hold every time we called. My mom left Riverwalk much weaker and much ... read more

Business response:

Hi Jim, I appreciate you reaching out via Yelp to share your concerns, though I'm sorry to hear we let you down. Our RNs that prepare and administer our patient IV's are some of the best RNs I've ever seen, they knew your mom by name and were surprised and saddened to hear this review. Per the documentation, I can see that our CNA's provided your mom with oral care several times while she was here, it would be highly unusual for an oral infection to develop in only 5 days, I imagine it was developing before she came to us. Y... read more

Ok, it's taken me a few months to sit down and write a review cause I've been fuming and very pi**ed off, so I had to get to a calm state of mind before I wrote this review. I'm not gonna get into details cause it would take forever, but my dad was there for around 5 years, give or take. During that time, there were issues that arose, but nothing serious.........until covid. One of the workers there infected him and we lost him a few weeks later. Now my dad was not a picture of health and I'm not gonna come down on the worke... read more

Business response:

Hi John, thank you for taking the time to visit our Yelp page to share your experience. I knew your father fairly well despite the language barrier, as you mentioned he we cared for him for years. While we aren't perfect, I saw for myself that our nurses were good to him and took good care of him. I'm hopeful as you reflect on prior years that you feel the same. It's very unfortunate he tested positive for COVID19, despite our complete PPE, training and best efforts, the virus was spreading through ours and all nursing home... read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The night nurses at Riverwalk Acute facility walk around 2 with out masks and they neglect patients. It took 1 1/2 hours to get a glass of water. They withhold medication and are mean to the patients and take pleasure in it. Do not send any of your loved ones there ! If you need to file a complaint against with social service 1-833-401-0832 State CA public dept of health 909-388-7170 Photos will be uploaded at later time

Business response:

Hi Molly, I'm sorry hear you've had this experience, are you certain you've reviewed the correct facility? We've never had a 'Molly' here before. After I read your review, I came in last week for a surprise visit at 4:00 am (as I do periodically) and found everyone hard at work with masks on, so I wonder if you have us confused with another facility. Please feel free to give me a call to clarify if you'd like. Thanks

If I could give Riverwalk a zero I would. This is absolutely the worst facility ever. Please don't put your loved one here! The care is horrible. They didn't bath him, they didn't feed him; he lost 6lbs in the 2 weeks of his stay there. He had horrific bed sores and they injured his toe to the point of bleeding! My brother was sent there after knee surgery to recoup. My brother is a sweet gentleman, very happy and loves people. He arrived in happy spirits and talking by the next day he looked heavily sedated, confused and d... read more

My father wasn't even there 12 hours and all his belongings were stolen, I had to call multiple times before actually getting to talk with someone. During this time my father was left on the toilet over 50mins after being told someone will be there to help. Know that he is out of there I've been trying for 2 weeks to get the rest of his belongings only to be told again that they are missing/unavailable and will have to be replassed. Maid the apt to get it only to be told it's not there and no one is there to help, during the... read more

Any questions on why I changed my review again, read my Step Father's review. New things have been uncovered from my mother's mouth recorded and I'm very displeased.

Business response:

Ms. Trina, thank you for taking the time to share your experience despite these difficulties. I'm truly very sorry for your loss. I knew your mom quite well, I was working at Arlington Gardens while she was there and so I immediately remembered and greeted your mom and step-father when they arrived. When your mom arrived here at Riverwalk, she was incredibly ill, in far worse condition than I had seen her just months ago. She was so ill that we were surprised that the hospital had discharged her to us in such difficult shape... read more

I am surprised how this place is still in business.....power outlets are extension cable.....bed are old .....nurses are rude .....no phone by patient....lights are so far if patient out of reach.......no patio area for patient or family members to sit outside.....patient are in hallway just sitting and some are clueless.......NURSES ARE RUDE AND HEARD GETTING MAD AT PATIENTS......update 6/29/2019 finally have to take our father out of there . They were making up excuses for us not to move ....but if he would have stayed l... read more

Business response:

Hi Raul, thank you for your feedback. I'm wondering if you have our facility confused with another? We haven't had a Raul S. here since June/July 2018, is this you? Also, we have multiple patios where patients and family members sit and visit. In fact, we just renovated one of them, I'll post photos soon. Our call lights are pinned to the bed so they are always in reach. And though we aren't perfect, our nursing staff generally gets great reviews from our residents and families for their quality of care and friendliness. I'd... read more
