We have always liked this venue, and usually enjoyed the food. While the food was good on this last visit, maybe we were expecting more. The halibut was not a dish that we would order again. It did not taste fresh & was kind of dry. The filet was cooked perfectly, but I was disappointed in the blue cheese topping it. The sauce & blue cheese did not accompany as well as I had hoped. The food quality was amazing. The Roxy bar and lounge had great Martinis. My favorite was the chocolate Martini.
We went to Hot August Nights and decided to splurge at this restaurant we'd heard so much about. It was superb. The atmosphere is romantic and the service terrific. The food and wine pairings were top flight. Glad we went and will certainly be back!
Had a great dinner. We had a celebrity chef cook our dinner. It was wonderful.
I can't say that it is fit for foodies because the menu is very limited "beef & fish." It is in a very busy and noisy area of the casino. Roxi is very romantic when you are seated away from the entrance. When it comes to the food, my husband ordered a specialty salad and the halibut and he was very pleased. I ordered a salad and the short ribs, which were a little over cooked but well seasoned. It was a birthday celebration and the evening couldn't have gone better! The food, drinks/wine, and service were professional and enjoyable in a very pleasing decor. If you haven't tried Roxy's, do!
Just a quick note, my wife and i celebrate our 19th aniversary Tuesday the 23rd at Roxy's. The hostess was friendly and welcoming upon arrival, wished us a happy aniversary with a glass of champagne, our waiter, Stephen, provider outstanding customer service with explanation of the menu and wine choices, he was appropriate with timing of all entries and the closing of the dinner. This is my second experience with Roxy's, I hope to have more with my wife, family and business assoicates. Steve Mooney
Roxy is always top notch. I had the special - a filet topped with horseradish and gorgonzola cheese. It was excellent. I am hoping it is made a permanent addition to the menu.
We were extremely impressed with all aspects to our dining experience at Roxy. The room was beautiful, the velvet booth very comfortable. Our server was attentive and entertaining. The hot bread served by a nice young lady was a nice touch - the cheesy bread was delicious. We went for the early bird special. The early bird menu selection was great.
