I was impressed with the Roxy. The goose was prepared to perfection. The waiter suggested a great glass of wine for my meal. The interior is very classy and elegant. Even though it is located in a noisy casino, you couldn't hear a peep once seated. Great plate for a first date. Can't wait to go back to try the paella.
We've lived in Reno for 10 years and this was our first experience at Roxy's. No idea why it took us so long to try it, as this is far and away the best restaurant in the Reno/Tahoe area. We will return for every special occasion from now on.
I had a wonderful meal. Everyone was very professional and very courteous.
The only problem we had was sitting next to the kitchen. Also, I thought the piano music was a little loud. We almost asked to move but decided against it.
We had a wonderful experience at Roxy's. We had the scallops (best we ever had!) and the duck. The duck was a little overdone and I would have like a boneless breast instead of half the duck with leg and bones attached. It was too much carving but it had an excellent sauce. Our waiter was Albert and he was so warm and friendly and made us feel so welcomed. We will go back for sure!
The food was very good. We've eaten there many times before but this time our meal came with the plate flooded in "juice". The juice ran into our potatoes and vegetable side. It was very unappetizing and spoiled the taste of the potatoes and vegetable. We've never had that happen before when we order prime rib. I'm tempted to ask for my potatoes and vegetables to be served on another plate next time we dine there.
The soufle was superb, worth the price of admission. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. The wine list was broad, and reasonably priced. I consider this a gem, and would recommend it to others. One of the best compliments I could pay, is that I would return on my next visit to Reno.

Everything was awesome about the experience; service was great, food was incredible, atmosphere was excellent, and the wine was top level and a great value.....one of the best dining experiences over the last 30 years...been to NYC, Houston, Dallas, LA, Toronto,Chicago, etc. and this was the best...MAK
