A winery right in my town. As if my liver isn't being abused enough! We were lucky enough to land reservations on opening day and subsequently a few times after. While many businesses need a little bit of time to work though kinks, Saddlehilll was running like a well-oiled machine out of the gate (pardon the pun, as there are horses on the property). If you're like me, then you don't enjoy traditional NJ wines. They are often sweet, young, and have an aftertaste that is difficult to identify. Saddlehill will make you reth... read more

Went for the first time on Saturday. We sat outside on the patio. It was covered and heated which was perfect for the weather that day. The wine was amazing. I did the pick your own flight. We did some appetizers and a flatbread to share. All of our choices were great. The staff was very attentive. We even had a glass of wine at the tasting bar before we left. I'm already trying to figure out when I can get back there .

Loved the food offerings and everything we ordered was fabulous! I am not a big wine drinker but if I do partake I enjoy a sweet wine. They knew exactly what to offer me and I really enjoyed it. We sat outside on the patio. It was drizzling and about 52 degrees out. The heaters worked amazing! We were not cold at all. I loved watching the horses in the fields, especially the miniature horse on the track. I have seen negative reviews about Saddlehill's children under 12 policy. While we were there I watched 2 children in the... read more

Went to Saddle Hill for an afternoon "happy hour". Grace our server was super nice and helpful. We sat under the heated porch. And it was more than comfortable . The inside seemed a bit loud and "echoey". But that's just me. The wine, for NJ , was good. My girlfriend and I only drank the reds though. The food was delicious. We had truffle fries, Amazing!!! and great for sharing.! (Try both ketchups). Pastrami style wings were good for a dry rub. The Burger was incredibly tender with the right amount of cheese... read more

We went to Saddle Hill about 2 weeks after their opening for lunch. They did a fantastic job with the building and and it is a beautiful venue. It has a California winery vibe to it. The menu is New American and has wine pairing suggestions.cThey offer dry whites, a sweet white, a rôse, two sparking, two fruit, 6 dry reds (coeur d'Est coming mid May/June), a Port style (coming soon), a Mead (coming soon). Four flight options for tasting. We had a big party and had a variety of food. I went with the burger and it was quite ... read more

Food was excellent and service was top notch. The work on the Tasting Room certainly showed the vision that the Saddlehill Team must have been looking for, however, a full Tasting Room would certainly be extremely loud. The only drawback I could see is the "Family Area". It is basically set as far away from the Tasting Room as it could possibly be. It really was just some picnic tables staged near the vineyards, with maybe one or two tables having umbrellas. Food and Wine service is extremely limited here. It seems that Sadd... read more

Beautiful venue. Friendly staff. Staff were having a daily meeting when we arrived. It was suggested we look around while they finished up. It was nice to to see the team building! Menu has pairing suggestions. A much appreciated detail. They offer dry whites, a sweet white, a rôse, two sparking, two fruit, 6 dry reds (coeur d'Est coming mid May/June), a Port style (coming soon), a Mead (coming soon). Four flight options for tasting. There are Alpacas to visit. Several seating options- indoors, outdoor patio with heat... read more

Just opened in my neighborhood, and it is a fabulous new winery and restaurant. The food was delicious, we had the Pastrami chicken wings as an appetizer, and the Caesar salad, and the grilled cheese. The portions were abundant. The service was excellent, oh and the wine was sooo good. I watched the vineyards being grown developed and it has evolved into the new hi light of the community.
