Small aquarium, but beautifully designed & maintained. I felt like a kid the whole time I was there. I enjoyed seeing each & every fish, animal, marsupial, reptile, insect or bird. Great place to go alone, with a friend, on a date, or as a family. Most of the staff were still wearing their masks, even after the idiot governor dropped the requirements. (I digress.) The staff was friendly & helpful, even thr young man that was walking on stage with earbuds in. I had to physically touch him to get his attention, as I had called... read more
You have the opportunity to interact with lemurs, sloths, armadillos, and many more and you can touch most of the fish, sting rays, and sharks. It's a very interactive aquarium that definitely exceeded my expectations, we had so much fun and would definitely go back if we were to visit San Antonio again!
So unorganized. Wait times for the encounters are outrageously long and I went at a slow time. If there's no employee at the encounter you have to go and hunt one down. Ended up having a crap ton of tokens left over cause I couldn't do anything but feed the sharks.
Cool place, but employees are rude specifically Lance and Lilli. Prices are expensive, and don't want to be treated like this.
I've been taking a client of mine here for a while and finally decided to post a review. I'll start by saying I have taken him here before Covid and during, it's the same. Complete scam. Admission is a fairly priced compared to other real aquariums but a little expensive for the small size of the aquarium. Im not an animal activist but the cages they have the animal in are depressing. $3 tokens and that gives you about $.50 cents worth of food to feed the stingrays and about $.10 of bird seed to feed the birds. 20 tokens to... read more
I love aquariums and make a point to visit as many as I can but this place sucks. The only positive thing is that my kids are young enough to not notice how much this place sucks. No social distancing first of all so everyone was packed like a can of sardines. It's incredibly overpriced. I paid $120 for 50 tokens and 40 tokens went to the sloth encounter which was a poor excuse for a 3 minute meet and greet. The sloth keeper talked so fast and literally pushed us out the door. My daughter fed her 4 carrots and one piece of l... read more
Seeing the animals some looked over stressed scared. Letting people in one after other poor animals in small little areas baby kangaroos placed with a porcupine. Over priced no educational info on any area about any of the animals. The coins are over the top expensive as well. Never again
I was very disappointed in this aquarium, as soon as you walk in your hit with a awful smell. The tanks need to be cleaned for sure! This place is very small and not worth the price
Half the exhibits are still closed They push you to buy the "tokens" for the site. I should have known it would be a total scam. The tokens are $3 a piece and are supposed to be able to be used through the place. What they don't tell you is that the exchange value isn't even. Your $3 token is only worth $2 in value on redemption. So we stopped to get some food - 2x Pizza, chips and a drink. $7.99 each - cost 8 total tokens. So, $24 instead of $16. Same thing for the gift shop at the end - a $15 stuffed and animal and $5 toy ... read more
