We had a wonderful experience celebrating special occasions with another couple. Our server Marcus made our evening perfect. Service and food was superb. Love this restaurant and highly recommend it.
Have had a number of very good meals, and this one didn't live up to past meals/experiences. We had to ask for bread while waiting for our drinks/first course. This is the first time we had to wait much longer than usual between courses. It was a Friday night and seems like the kitchen was backed up. Sandbar is beautifully designed and excellent culinary choice. I especially like the tuna tarter, fresh baked bread and a nice glass of wine. Always a great vibe.
We dined with another couple who hadn’t been there in some time. All of our appetizers were served promptly and were delicious-my favorite is the duck tacos. The entrees were all great-scallops, chicken (2) and salmon. Portion size was large enough for leftovers. James and his staff are wonderful and pleasant making for a terrific evening
Great meal. Duck tacos for a starter were excellent as was the tuna tartare. For main courses we had the duck and the salmon. Both were excellent. Our server, Juan, was excellent.
Although this was not our first visit to Sandbar, it was shocking to see how much the prices have been elevated. My fear is that many establishments such as Sandbar have taken advantage of the consumers willingness to accept higher prices due to the effects of the pandemic. As an example, I feel there is no explanation for an appetizer order of two small crab cakes to cost $28.00. That said, the food was good, but their current prices will stop me from going back for anything other than a Happy Hour cocktail.
