Not a good place to patronage. Showing up on time just means you wait longer, even if your apt is when they open. Never cured any issues, just curbed them. The office staff lost my file once, resulting in me waiting a half hour until they gave me a 'temporary file'. 2 stars because they didn't make anything worse.
VERY inexperienced. Did not check my skin out thoroughly, left me with a basal cell in the middle of my forehead. (Of course, was enthusiastic about doing any fillers, botox and the like.) Very defensive when I came back to communicate post-surgery with another dermatologist. Actually went to see the head of the CSI, who also had $ on his mind and was in the midst of changing his practice to esthetics so as not to see actual dermatology patients.
Update: Finally received my refund, so I've upped the rating to 2 stars. Still can't, in good conscience based on my experience, recommend this practice.
*i would give zero starts if allowed* I have had the WORST experience with this "skin institute." From the beginning, getting in touch with the office was impossible. They have a customer service line answer and take messages (they are very sweet and polite) however, the ladies in the actual office are so rude. I have been calling there all day. At least 5 times now. I need my prescription changed and I want to pay my bill. They won't call me back. They have the worst customer service I have seen in a long time. They should be ashamed of the way they treat there clients. When they call me for there money I'll lie to them and tell them I'll call them right back. Lets see how they like it.
If only I could give -3 stars I would. I came to Dr. Gebauer for removal of a lesion on my foot. I explained the procedure I was using at home and she told me not to do the procedure anymore. She comes in and follows the same exact procedure I was doing at home and tells me to leave the area alone and the lesion would go away on its own. She told me she wanted to see me again in 3-4 weeks and I made the appointment. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. My appt lasted all of 5 min when it should have been longer. She rushed through all of my concerns where she should have spent time discussing them with me. I was given a new prescription (stronger dose of one I've been using for years) that needed a prior authorization. I called the office 3 times asking for it and got the same answer every time "insurance does not/will not cover that". Yes they do and have for years.
