This is my second great experience at CSI. I asked for an appointment online and I got a call the next day. I was able to take over a no show appointment the same day they called. At reception I was greeted by the person sitting behind the desk and they checked me in. I went in to see Dr. Lauren H. and she's great. This is the second time I have seen her and she is nice, efficient with lovely "bed side manner" for a doctor who sees lots of people every day. I will return and I would also recommend this place to anyone.

Stay away from The California Skin Institute San Jose and Michele May-Fung, a dermatologist, she is rude and abrupt! She kept us waiting for 62 minutes before she saw us, sent 6.5 minutes with us and rushed through the appointment because she was running late and was going to lunch! When checked into the Institute I was told my appointment for changed from 11:00 to 11:40 however was never called or connected. I see Dr. Morales for my skin issues. She is a good Dr, but her staff and the front office are too busy and not helpful. The office is so busy that you usually only get about 4 to 5 minutes with the Dr. We agree upon procedures and next steps, but her staff doesn't seem to get the message. I usually have to tell them what to do and what the Dr. ordered. last time I was in they left several documents from my chart in the room. The providers Lauren Hirsch and her assistant Gigi are great, but this office simply doesn't have enough phone coverage/support. I routinely have to wait for 10, 15, 20 mins just to change and schedule appts. This is outrageous. I waited on hold to reschedule an appt with more than 24 hours notice, and then was instructed to leave a voicemail. I have seen Dr. Morganroth for two Mohs surgeries to remove skin cancers: one on the front of my neck, and the other on my nose. Both were done with precise skill and ease. Dr. Morganroth's confidence and experience have made me feel at ease during both surgeries. The results have been amazing, with little to no scarring! During an annual skin cancer screening (that the physician's assistant I saw performed rather carelessly--I had to remind him to check my left arm too...) I asked what a tiny pimple-like spot on my chest was that had been there awhile. He said it was nothing to worry about, that I shouldn't do any procedures on the spot because the area would likely scar. I can't speak about any procedures because I never made it to my first and only consultation due to a medical emergency. But I did try to cancel, and after being placed on hold for so long, I gave up. However, the person who set up my appointment neglected to tell me that I would be charged for the missed appointment. I expected to be charged for a missed procedure, but not for a consultation. Anyway, I paid the bill and then they harassed me for $2.26 interest and threatened to turn over to a collection agency. Stay away from this place! I will not go back to this facility located in Good samaritan Dr. San JoSe. Staff is Not professional. You have many options for your personal needs such a kaiser, santana Row and other facilities. Dont waste your time and money. I had to give them a star becasu the app requires I choose one, but they deserve none!

I've called multiple times to try to change an appointment. I usually hang up after being on hold for about 30 minutes (27 minutes first time, 34 minutes second time). Hope they don't charge for no-show since no way to actually call and change appointment time.
