Just be aware there are NO doctors only PA's . I called to make an appointment and was told there are only PA's here. A doctor comes in to operate as needed. Now i have nothing against PA's but this has now gotten out of hand. The AMA should be screaming but guess what... dead silence. P.S. they charge Medicare the same.

Always a different doctor. Currently they have no MD in this office. My mole removal surgery was cancelled. I've come here for several years, including former location. Never the same Dr for my annual check ups Most recent one just left. Seems to have a revolving door which could be an indication of an issue here. Office is clean and modern, PA's are thorough and efficient.

Honestly, a very disappointing office. I have been coming here for over two years for various reasons, ranging from yearly skin checks to medication refills of trentinoin. Multiple occasions have occurred where it has been prescribed then I need a refill and somehow the provider doesn't work there anymore and the office is requiring a new exam with a new provider. I was asked to change clothes and wait for the doctor. I waited for over 45 minutes sitting naked on a table waiting. As I was preparing to leave the doctor finally came in. The doctor came in with a trainee and another female for observation. A total if 3 people without permission. I did not appreciate having extra people in the room without being asked. It was a horrible experience and I left extremely uncomfortable and invaded. I will not return here.

I highly recommend this for dermatologist skin check up, acne, rashes, moles etc. They know how to treat darker skin tones which is a huge plus! They offer laser hair removal and a package so it's more economical. I was going to Scripps but their location is closer to home I can go to Encinitas or Vista also CSI is more economical with the packages. They don't expire so you can use 3 and use the other 3 later. I had a blue light therapy done at CSI 4/10/23 and have had it done at another facility before CSI. Do not waste your time or money. Do your research and find a company that gets you results.

Dr. Grushchak is wonderful! I had the best experience with her and wish I had met her years ago. She herself is beautiful and knew how to improve my face without over doing it. She is kind and has a great "bedside manner." I had sucha great experience and appreciate everyone's TLC, even the assistants were amazing. I had two separate appointments a week apart for Botox and cheek filler. I pointed out a spot on my face where I felt something was "going on" to my PA Dermatologist at Scripps Institute in La Jolla and was told that "it is nothing." In their system you need to be screened by the PA before you actually get to the Dermatologist. I really felt uncomfortable with the brushoff and decided to find another dermatologist to get a second opinion. Honestly, I called the California Skin Institute because they sounded professional. I explained I had Medicare through another dermatologis, but I needed a new cancer spot removed quickly before my wedding/honeymoon, so they scheduled a cash appointmen. I took off work and when I got there, they rejected me because of a policy with Medicare that they can't except cash patients. They should have informed me of this on the phone instead of wasting my time.
