Ela’s is a much for us every time we visit HHI! From the service to the ambience to the food, Ela’s consistently delivers one of the best dining experiences on the island.
Went with the girls to celebrate a birthday. Food was very good. We shared three salads and they were all delicious. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. Service was OK. A warm welcoming attitude would make this a great overall place. This was my second visit and both times had the same experience with the service. Just smile, and make us think you love your job. By the end of the evening she started to come around, but everyone made a comment initially.
We went for our 35th anniversary and they greeted us with a champagne toast. The service was great and food was delicious. It was a great atmosphere for us to talk and reminisce.
In all fairness the island is pricey. I don't feel that much of the food is worth the high prices. ELAs was fair on flavor and preparation. The restaurant, staff, location was what made the restaurant for me.
Food, service and ambience all perfect! We hope to return on our next trip to Hilton Head!
We had a lovely dinner at Ela's On the Water. We dined outside on the covered patio, overlooking Shelter Cove. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our waiter, David, was wonderful. The food was perfectly prepared and the wine choices were very good.
We had a great dinner with generous portions. Filet mignon was the best! Nice view on waterfront. Great service and nice ambiance.

Our food was above average, and the ambience of the restaurant was above average. Our initial server was one of the most arrogant servers we’ve ever had, and hope I never have an experience again with somebody as rude and arrogant as this gentleman fortunately manage was able to provide us with another server to finish our meal otherwise we would’ve up and left.
