I ordered the grouper and had it blackened. When I ordered, I asked for no head, no tail, no skin, just a fillet. When it arrived, it had not been fully cooked. Our server returned it to the kitchen. She said it will be another five minutes, and I will get a new dish. After five minutes, I received the dish again this time it was with skin on. I returned the dish back to the kitchen. The scallops were excellent and the risotto was delicious ! The service was great ; and attentive but not pushy . Except for the bugs , we sat on the porch, it was a delightful experience . We will definitely go back again .
For the price we expected this to be excellent in every category. Service was fine, but not exceptional. Our waitress was not overly friendly, but all our food came out correct and she was attentive. The food itself was fine. My husband had the fish special and the fish was very dry and he said it was very under seasoned. Portion sizes were decent. The views outside were incredible. Overall the expectation for fine dining should be Excalibur service and food and it fell short in both those categories.
Ela’s is one of our favorites on the island. As locals, we visit often for special celebrations and sometimes just when we want to treat ourselves.
Waitress was not friendly. We seem to be bothering her. The view was great, but we specifically asked for a firework review and booked it four months in advance and we were not even close. Extremely disappointed would prefer to be at the quarter deck. 
Our service was excellent. Emilio was fabulous and on top of everything. There were six of us and he never missed a beat. Three of us had the salmon and it was prepared exactly as we requested. The chop, short ribs and dessert were exceptional as well.
Excellent ambiance, views, artwork, service and location. The seafood dish was amazing. Appreciated that Ela's stayed open later than most of the other fine dining on the island so we could spend more time on the beach and make the most of our time on vacation. A separate vegetarian menu upon request would be awesome option that similar fine dining across the country establishments have offered. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
We had an amazing experience at Ela's. We were seated on the patio facing the harbor with an amazing breeze and view. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful ambiance. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We would love to come back!
The diver scallops were underwhelming. They lacked flavor, in particular there wasn't any seasoning. For a $44 meal it was disappointing and not worth the price.
