We were seated right by the window with views of the marina & had a wonderful meal to celebrate our anniversary . My husband got the surf & turf & said it was the best he’s ever had & I got the swordfish which was delicious too! We didn’t have room for dessert so ended up getting the key lime to go, the best decision ever! We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone we know visiting Hilton Head!
I was very disappointed in the food. Some dishes were extremely salty and the risotto was glumpy. The gumbo contained very little seafood and the fried calamari was similar to fish sticks. The Caprese salad was decent. However, the service was very good and the tables were set with white tablecloths which is rare to see these days. The restaurant overlooks the marina which provides a nice setting and view of the water/boats.
Excellent choice for our anniversary dinner! Complimentary bubbles to start followed by a wonderful meal. We started with a Kumato caprese salad followed by the Malbec braised short rib, and pan seared grouper. We ended our meal with strawberry cake. The food was generous and well prepared and the wait staff was attentive. The ambience was lovely with a water view. While the bar was busy it was not distracting. We'll definitely return before our next anniversary.
First, I want to say that we are locals and Ela’s is one of our favorite restaurants. The beautiful view at Ela’s is unmatched and the food is usually very good. However, I ordered the seafood scampi expecting a large bowl adorned with an assortment of fresh seafood on top of pasta drenched in a creamy butter / garlic sauce. What I got was a dish full of Rotini with about 5 shrimp and a few tiny muscles and scallops that tasted microwaved. Great views and food. We went for lunch/brunch-six woman. We were all happy with our orders from omelette to fish tacos. Definitely put this restaurant on your list.
We had a fabulous experience at Ela’s. The food was great and our server was outstanding. We look forward to dining there again.
Service and venue were fantastic. I had a great short rib dinner. My wife's crab cakes were very disappointing, tasteless, and had no backfin meat. We will visit again but not order the crab cakes
We were a party of 4 for Sunday brunch. We enjoyed sitting outside and had a variety of breakfast/lunch selections from the menu, all of which were great. The fried oyster appetizer is outstanding - the best fried oysters I've ever had. The Bloody Mary, topped with a slice of bacon, was great as well. The setting, service and food made for an enjoyable visit.
It was our last night in Hilton Head and the best dinner, view and service we had all trip. It was fantastic!
