Ela's has a wonderful view of Shelter Cove and delicious food. I had the shrimp cocktail (warning, the cocktail sauce is incredibly spicy), wedge salad, lobster, and asparagus. All were outstanding. They have a strong wine list. We go to Ela's every time we are in Hilton Head. This experience confirmed our previous visits.

This was our first time dining at ELA’s on the Water, we were celebrating our 18yr anniversary and my Aunt & Uncle were celebrating their 35yr anniversary. The food was absolutely delicious, the views were incredible and our server made some great recommendations. One of the best restaurants we have dined at on HHI.
Great food cooked exactly to our specifications, great location and wonderful staff.
Easter Brunch menu had a wide variety to choose from. Our server was fantastic and very accommodating. We will be back.
We are from the Chicago area. My husband and I were celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary. So, I read the reviews and decided to try Ela’s on the Water. The waiter brought us a glass of champagne as soon as we sat down and the rest of the evening DID NOT disappoint!! It was an excellent choice and I would go back again in heart beat!!
Fabulous atmosphere and the food was top notch! Great service and view.
Waiter lost our bottle of wine and charged us for 2 bottles and we only had one.
