The food & service was excellent! We ejoyed the filet and the grouper. Both were prepared perfectly and were so delicious . Our table over looking the water was so special for our birthday celebration. Our waiter recommended an amazing cabernet that was bold and smooth. So good! Would definitely recommend and return. Best meal we have had on HHI. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

It was my dad’s 85th birthday. Waitress was absent most of brunch. Took order and never came to table to refill water or ask if food was ok. We were not offered dessert and his birthday was not acknowledged. She asked if it was one check and brought bill. Was really disappointed.
Whole flounder was tasty. Scallops themselves were good but very one-note in color and taste on the very white risotto. A little green and some acid would’ve been great in that dish. Caprese salad was disappointing. Tiny little nuggets of mozzarella and the tomatoes were somewhat mushy and not very flavorful. Waitress was very transactional in approach,, no smiling and minimal interaction/guidance. Pricey meal.

The food was very good. Served hot and portions were very good. Service was very good and the outdoor seating was very enjoyable. It was not very noisy at all. Spacing was not crowded which made it nice. The price was a little higher scale, but it was worth it. Great wine selection. Ela's is now one of our favorite restaurants in Hilton Head Island.
Plenty to observe from the outdoor seating in the harbor. The food is acceptable but unremarkable. The menu on Open Table is out of date.
Disappointed with the actual food. The crabcakes were too much filler and very little crab. The service was slow. The salmon was dry. Stop the actual window looking out on the water was beautiful, but it was all foggy from a broken seal. Not what you’re expected for a high-end restaurant. Our server was a dead arrogant So all in all we don’t plan on returning
While the food was great and the waterfront view on the patio was nice, the customer service was lacking. Beginning with checking in for our brunch reservation with the hostess, I had listed that it was my birthday on the reservation and she gave me a very lackluster greeting. Once we were seated, our order was taken right away and we received our food and drinks in a timely manner, but we never saw our waitress again.
