The food, service, view and atmosphere were absolutely outstanding! This is our new favorite restaurant on HHI!
I had the crab appetizer and the flounder both were very flavorful. My husband had the braised short rib and he said it was one of the best he’s ever had. The service was also fantastic. We originally made a reservation for outside with a view of the Harbor but unfortunately the weather was too cold and windy. They were able to move us indoors and we still managed to have a nice table in a quit section.
Our second visit in several days and we had another outstanding meal with great service. Lobster Ravioli and Seafood Scampi were cooked to perfection which we paired with a Jordan Chardonnay. Unfortunately, our trip was cut short but we will be back when we return. Highly recommend!
Ela’s was on point in every way! The oysters were extremely fresh and delicious! The carpaccio was amazing and the Caesar Salad was fresh and crisp and served as a heart rather than chopped, which I appreciate because it stays crisp. The food was delicious, the table was beautifully set, and the view unparalleled. Our server was rude, uninterested, and her service was extremely slow, even for a restaurant of the caliber. She served other table with diligence and dedication. While we remained an afterthought and ignored. Our tips reflected her lack of proper service.
My family and I were happy to say the restaurant lived up to it’s reputation. The server was professional, friendly and timely with all our asks. The food was high quality and some of the best we have had-calamari was one item. The atmosphere on the deck was relaxing, quiet and calming. The best part was the heating lights as the night air cooled, very comfortable. We look forward to coming back to HHI and will for certain stop by ELA’s again.
From beginning to end, we had a fabulous dining experience. From cocktails, to oysters, to golden tile and grouper with tarragon mashed potatoes, wild rice combo with raisins, and assorted vegetables, and finished with strawberry cake which was paired with a great Kistler Chardonnay. The service was seamless and five star to match the cuisine. Highly recommend.
We were seated right by the window with views of the marina & had a wonderful meal to celebrate our anniversary . My husband got the surf & turf & said it was the best he’s ever had & I got the swordfish which was delicious too! We didn’t have room for dessert so ended up getting the key lime to go, the best decision ever! We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone we know visiting Hilton Head!
I was disappointed in the crab cakes. Very fishy and no lumps. Fried green tomatoes were very smoky and took away from the sweet tomatoes! Service was great. A bit rushed.
