My favorite place on Hilton Head - Shelter Cove Marina! Walk around the docks and check out all of the boats and yachts or visit the shops and stroll around Neptune! The dining area, both inside and out, was quite elegant yet low key. Service was spectacular and the food delicious! Many accolades-can’t wait to return - oh and did I mention the sunsets - spectacular!
This is the 2nd time we dined there. The first time I loved the food. This time I ordered the seafood gumbo soup. The seafood was so minimal I couldn’t taste it. It consisted mainly of sausage. I also ordered the crab cakes and there was very little crab in them. There were no large chunks only small flakes. I would go there again but not order those two items.
The food here is good, but there are far better better dining options available on the island. Not sure why this is billed as a great place to watch the sunset, as it faces east.
Such a nice place to eat. We got the calamari appetizer and shared a grouper dish. It was all excellent. Our service was excellent. Our server clearly had a lot of tables and was helping out at the bar as well, but she was right there when we needed her and extremely pleasant and helpful. All of us enjoyed it very much. I always come to Ela’s when we are in Hilton Head - it is a must! Raw oysters are excellent and always get the lobster nachos too!! Great martinis too!
We had a table on the deck overlooking the harbor. Very nice and since it was a little chilly weather wise, they had heaters above the tables. I had the scallops with risotto. Excellent. Just a very small portion in my opinion. I usually share a meal with my husband or order two appetizers rather than an entre but this was more an appetizer size portion. My husband had crab cakes and they were not the best he enjoyed while in Hilton Head. Just average. Portion size was as expected. 2 nice size crab cakes.
The views of the marina and extended water view really added to our experience. We had various seafood entrees, all delicious. I'd recommend the lobster nachos and lobster bisque in particular. Service was friendly, informed and efficient. Highly recommend. Worth the price.
This was our second time at Ella's. The service was great, Kim was our waitress. The food was delicious. We had salmon and short ribs.
Great menu with lots of choices for every palate. Food was delicious and the service was awesome. Really enjoyed the beef carpaccio (haven’t seen that on a restaurant menu in a while) and the lobster citrus risotto was fantastic. Already planning the next visit. Will probably have the same thing! Almost forgot the lobster nachos! A must have!
