Another trip to Hilton Head and another visit to Ela’s. Friends staying with us had their first experience at brunch on our Sunday morning. Pretty busy but seating and service were prompt and warm. After our Bloody Mary’s, which are always good, we selected our main courses. Smoked salmon Benedict, crab cake Benedict, and crab omelets came in short order. Food is excellent. Atmosphere is superb. Overlooking the marina.
We went for my husband's birthday. This is definitely a celebration restaurant because it is $$$$ but well worth it. We shared a dozen Blue Point oysters and he had the surf and turf and I had the special- grouper stuffed with crabmeat over lobster risotto. It was unbelievably delicious. And their coffee was good enough to drink black (pet peeve of mine when restaurants serve weak or lukewarm coffee).
This was our second visit to Ella’s and it did not disappoint! We will be back our next visit
Overall seemed expensive - for location and rec of friends I expected more. Food - calimari was excellent as was the tuna but rissotto that came with stuffed grouper was so-so (texture and flavour). Uncomfortable with tight seating/ maskless servers
On top of my list for serving delectable food, fabulous service amidst a perfect setting of being by the water. They serve perhaps the best mushroom risotto we have ever had. Our server David was knowledgeable and pleasant. We are definitely coming back.
Beautiful night for the last dinner of our vaca. Great view seated outdoors, great food and great service.
Lobster was a little small for the price. Filet was good but sides weren’t good. Oysters were great and service was great
