Dinner was fine and lovely views, etc. I was not pleased with the waiter who scowled when we only ordered one bottle of wine for the 6 of us.
First time at Ela's Blu Water Grille. Atmosphere and view is really good. Menu looks great but food was average. Too much effort and definitely too pricey. Maybe it's due to season just starting on HHI. Service was slow. Wine recommended by server was a poor recommendation. Did not match the wines description. We will probably go back but next time hope to sit on the deck overlooking the harbor.

We have eaten here before and love the ambiance, the location, and the food. We were hesitant to book on a big holiday because we knew it would be crowded and thought that the restaurant might restrict menu choices because of that but they didn't! The server was able to get the chef to give me an appetizer portion of the Butternut Squash Raviolis when I couldn't make up my mind, and they were scrumptious! Great place for a special occasion, or a quiet meal. Food and service are excellent. The views of Shelter Cove's marina are lovely. A favorite dining spot.
One of the top Hilton Head fine dining seafood restaurants! My Prosciutto Shrimp and Grits were delicious as was my wife's starter of Oysters Rockefeller! My main course of Pan Seared Diver Scallops was perfect! My wife really enjoyed her Slow Roasted Short Rib entrée! Many fine wine choices too! Amber our server was very personable and professional. In the warmer months the outside tables have awesome water and marina views! Ela's remains one of our favorite restaurant destinations!
Located on the back water of Hilton Head Island, this restaurant has a beautiful view and quiet ambiance. The service was good and the food was very good. Recommend for a couple's romantic evening.

This time at Ela's we were able to enjoy Restaurant Week and the menu they put together was superb... It was a treat to try several different items as they had four (really five courses) and the variety was wonderful. We always go to Ela's when we are in Hilton Head and this trip it was even more special.
