We were there during Restaurant Week and chose their 5-course dinner being featured during the evening we dined there. All of the courses were exceptional from the appetizer to the dessert. We especially enjoyed the shrimp and grits and the grouper. The Key lime pie was also tops. Our server did an excellent job and the atmosphere was perfect. Outside dining is available during warmer weather. We'll go back next time we are in Hilton Head.

We visited Ela's for Restaurant Week here on Hilton Head Island, SC. It had a wonderful selection of choices for this event. It had a five course tasting menu, for the appetizer we selected Shrimp & Grits and Ahi Tuna Tartar, second course Maine Lobster Bisque and Pear Arugula Salad, intermezzo was Blood Orange Sorbet, entree course my wife had Short Ribs & Lobster and I had Grouper & Pork Tenderloin, then for dessert course we both had Cheesecake. We were told about this place by friends from Orange County, CA. So, we decided to try it for lunch. Everything was very good and we plan to try a dinner here this coming week. My wife had the fish and chip and I had the Grouper sandwich. Both were very good. We had an appetizer as well along with a bottle of wine. I didn't have high expectations since this restaurant is in a touristy area on NYE. However, my husband's steak was the best we've had in a long time. My short ribs were very good, just a bit too salty. I also thought the key lime pie was very average. The berry fizz champagne cocktails were excellent--actually too excellent:) Service was great on a busy night. We are locals and will definitely be back.

When we arrived there was a glitch in our table arrangement but Earl made everything work out very well. We had a delightful New Years Eve celebration. The food was just delicious. We are eager to try Pearl once it opens.

A fabulous New Years Eve dinner! The sea bass with black Chinese rice was superb. Unbelievably, we ate outside on the water - it was perfect. Michael, our server, was just attentive enough & very knowledgeable about the menu & offerings. We will return again...and again!

we had such a nice New Year's Eve celebration starting with our wonderful dinner at Ela's. The food (grouper!!!!) was prepared and presented perfectly. The service was great! Window table looking out on the marina............hadn't been there under this ownership but definitely will go back and try happy hour or another dinner. Have recommended it to several people.
