We sat in the bar and it was a lovely experience. The waiter was super accommodating to my son with special needs and the food was excellent. A great water view too!!

When i reserved, I tld Open Table that it was our 25th anniversary and wanted a table by the window overlooking the harbor. They didn't disappoint us! Lovely banquette, by the window, overlooking the harbor! They even gave us a complimentary dessert to share! Wait staff was effecient and not intrusive. The lobster was one of the best ever! A bit pricey, but well worth it.

Although we had reservations over 24 hours in advance, we were seated against a wall with no view while other scenic tables went empty. We asked to be moved, but were told they had been reserved. That's why they were empty? We also received no greeting or even water service for almost fifteen minutes. My husband had to seek out a server. The food was very good, but slow. We had told our friends how much they would enjoy Ela's, but it was not as nice as expected, especially for a higher priced restaurant.

This was our second time at Ela's. The first visit was amazing and more than we ever expected. This visit not so much. Service was great. Scenery was great. Wine was great. Food was below par by far. For apps we got oyster rockafeller with a glass of bubbly. We only received four oysters. We thought for sure we would get at least six like most places serves. This was our 2nd visit, the first was much better. We had a great outside table overlooking the water. The waiter did not seem to be wanted to be bothered with us. The decaf coffee was bad and we sent it back. The 1st of 2 gin and tonics was very weak. The second was as it should have been. The ravioli was crispy on top, a little too crispy. We had an early diiner outside, everything was great. we made the mistake of ordering the blackenned tuna assuming it would be cooked medium. It came out rare, but the chef fixed it for us. It was nice experience and the view was good.

Ela's is on our short list of top Hilton Head restaurants! They consistently serve up sophisticated and delicious seafood and beef entrees. My shrimp and grits appetizer was fantastic! With a touch of prosciutto over a perfectly prepared grit cake! My wife really enjoyed her Oysters Rockefeller starter. My ribeye was very good and cooked to exactly as ordered. I rsvp'd a birthday brunch for my fiance and we drove from Atlanta and it was the best experience of our entire weekend. They sat us outside as requested, gave my fiance a complimentary birthday dessert and best of all - the pianist played the 'Happy Birthday' song for my fiance! It was such a beautiful and thoughtful gesture. The waiter was attentive and the manager was very accomodating. The view was spectacular. We were here for our anniversary. The food, the view and the service were superior! I look forward to our next trip to HHI, and Ela's will be a must!
