We have always loved Ela's and the view of the boats at Shelter Cove. We were disappointed with parts of our meal, and the service. We never received bread at our table, our waitress was very nice, but I believe had too many tables she was in charge of therefore we felt neglected with drink refills, and overall service. We had the Mahi Mahi special and was very good, Steak was perfectly done and hot, but the crab risotto underneath was cold and really had no flavor. Great views of the marina from the patio. The fish was very fresh.
A pleasant meal on a picturesque deck. However my husband got the fish special and was pulling not 1 or 2 bones from his mouth but 8. -10! Our waitress was not around to share with... every time we saw her she was racing off or bringing our next course or the bill. We felt a bit rushed. But didn't allow it to ruin our evening. Would try again.
Our meal at Ela's Blu Water Grill was a very nice experience. The handcrafted cocktails we had (Bees Knees , an Old-fashioned and more) were delicious and the food expertly prepared. We sat outside on the second floor balcony overlooking the marina. The view was lovely, but our only complaint was that the air conditioner sat below us and every time it kicked on, the noise was deafening. Great food, art, ambiance and wait staff!
Excellent dining experience. Shrimp cocktail with house-made cocktail sauce was excellent. Also enjoyed our entrees of mahi-mahi and grouper. This restaurant is one of the best on the island.
This restaurant came highly recommended and it was wonderful. We will definitely be adding this spot to the top of our list of dining every time we return to HHI. Spectacular views, delicious food and we were welcomed so warmly upon our arrival!
