We went to Ela's for our anniversary. We were greeted with champagne and a lively window table. Our server was exceptional and food was outstanding. We totally enjoyed our evening. Only problem is parking
Location, Location, Location... You are paying for the location. Crab omelette had NO crab meat.... seriously no crab meat....not even a weak taste of crab.... none. Charge me more but done jerk my chain NO CRAB MEAT. Mind you were in a seafood restaurant and only sword fish for lunch.... ? We did get appetizers however they were just fair.... not sure what was used for the fried calamari.... artifical crab? Great location. That's what I paid for. The waitress was wonderful.
Fantastic brunch! We had the Crab Omelette, Blueberry French Toast & Eggs Benedict. Everything was wonderful! The Bloody Mary is highly recommended.
My wife and I enjoyed the food, the ambiance and the view of the water. Even though there were several open tables around us, (still empty when we left), we felt rushed. So rushed that the server found himself standing over us with our entrees while our appetizers were still in front of us, (one of our biggest restaurant pet peeves). Overall, we enjoyed it but would probably try other Hilton Head restaurants before returning here.
Excellent food, all four of us had enjoyed our dishes, but extremely slow service.
The food was great and the menu selections consisted of many seafood options. While the restaurant was busy for a 7:30 reservation, they seemed undermanned during the height of the summer vacation season. I'm all for dining experiences, but the delay here resulted from a lack of attention from the server and it did not seem that other servers or a manager were assisting. Our 3 course meal took nearly 2.5 hours. Go for the food and the view of the boats in a harbor, but make sure you're not in a rush.
View was great. We had called after we made reservation on open table and asked for a table with a water view since it was our anniversary. We were told they would give us the best table in the house. When we got there they seated us at a table with no view. They had not made a note of our request. They did move us but we were still not by a window. They did give us a glass of champagne which was very nice. Food was ok - nothing special.
The food was very overpriced and fair at best. It's a beautiful restaurant with great outdoor dining but out server was extremely snooty. I was looking forward to fish tacos but saw that by mistake it was on the lunch menu when I booked the reservation. He felt it was important to tell me how there was no way I could get them because the kitchen wasn't set up for it - in a very defensive tone. Stunning marina views! A perfect setting for our last dinner on the island! We arrived early, so we decided to get a bottle of wine and hang out in the bar. What a cool place... Great live music, and the bar staff was fabulous! Very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent (we had scallops and butternut ravioli). The lobster bisque was very good as well! Our waiter was average - not bad, but not spectacular. Somewhat inattentive, but got the job done at the end of the day... Regardless, we will be back!
