We had a fabulous experience at Ela's for dinner several nights ago. Dinner was incredible, and the ambience and view are certainly hard to beat. I had a chicken/pretzel entre that was so yummy! It has one of the best water views on Hilton Head Island. A hidden gem. The staff and management are experts in customer service. I truly recommend the experience, you won't be sorry!

We enjoyed ELA very much. There was a live guitarist playing, but not too loud, good balance between being able to listen to music and still talk to each other. We were seated in a small table overlooking the Shelter Cove water, and at sunset, the sky was really beautiful. I had the seared grouper, and my husband had the filet. We split the lobster ravioli appetizer. I also had a chardonnay the waiter recommended, and was very happy with his recommendation. We both agreed this was probably our best meal on the island, with R... read more

This place is so special! It's classy (higher end) dinning with a relaxed approached. The servers are extremely friendly and knowledgable without being uptight or snooty. Food is absolutely the best we had on the island! Scallops and Grouper are simple and so amazing! The view is incredible, if the weather was better we could have stayed outside all night! This is absolutely a must "see for yourself" restaurant! Incredible evening!

Four of us had another very good meal on Sunday night. We sat in the rear to get the view over the marsh as the sun went down. The down side was the chatter and baby noises coming from the room upstairs that echoed down through an open area in the ceiling. But , we had a family reunion there and created the same noises so , with the soft music playing it was not a serious issue. The fish was excellent, properly prepared and beautifully served. Every portion was large! The chicken roladen was also very good and worth a try. A... read more

The seafood is absolutely delicious and well prepared. Entree prices are steep, and if all the entrees included a starch and vegetables, I would say well worth it. Personally I hate to have spend 7 or 8 dollars on a side of vegetables when the entree costs between $26 and $30. But, the bread basket is very nice, the appetizers selections were wonderful and there is a decent number of wines available by the glass.

The food and the ambiance were ok.. I don't know if I would come back.. There was nothing that bothered me significantly except that I asked if we could sit outside and they said all the tables were reserved.. but we came, ate, left and there was a huge amount of tables outside that were still empty

Ela's is a beautiful restaurant located in the Shelter Cove marina. They have lovely lighting and great service. The food and wine were superb. It's expensive and worth every penny!

It was good but not exceptional given the price point. Duck was great, filet was over cooked. I would recommend to a friend only to get someone else's opinion.
