Dined inside @ high table in bar area. Excellent service and cocktails before oysters and ahi tuna appetizer while live music played. All were perfect. Professional bartender and attentive ownership. Entertaining view of harbor. Looking forward to a return visit. Highly recommended.
Pity the flounder and sea bass were sold our. Not impressed at all with the overcooked squash ravioli. Blackened tuna was very nice.
After a circuitous route to the restaurant, the view, the location and the quality food more than made up for the winding roads. Reception was friendly although we were not fully prepared for all the stairs since one of us has bad knees. Our table was in an alcove cleverly walled with mirrors so that none of us missed the view. Ela's came recommended by a local as a good venue for a few friends to celebrate a special occasion. From the appetizer through desserts, the food was outstanding, and we enjoyed a beautiful view of Shelter Cove from our table. The prices were a little high, though as a first-time visitor from Atlanta I can't be sure that they aren't consistent with other restaurants on Hilton Head. In short, we will remember our lovely evening at Ela's for many years to come.
We have been coming to Hilton Head for over 20 years we finally went to ELA's and were so happy we did! I can say that it was the best meal we have ever had in Hilton Head! We can't wait to go back. The service was fantastic and we sat outside and it was beautiful!

Ella Blu has become a staple for our annual visits to the island. The food as always is exemplary. We did have one issue with over cooked lobster which was rectified without any hesitation whatsoever. Our service was exemplary which we have not found at all Hilton head restaurants at this level. My recommendation is to remain on the deck outside or on the first level rather than being seated in the more private upstairs area which traps all of the lower-level noise and is quite distracting. We had a great anniversary dinner at Ela's. Every detail was perfect. The view of the sunset over the marina is breathtaking. The steaks are incredible. The service is attentive yet not overbearing. The wine list is fairly priced and has selections for every taste.
It was our first time at Ela's and we were pleasantly surprised. Menu was interesting - the pear and arugula salad was fantastic. The signature dish of crab cakes was wonderful, full of crabmeat and very little filler. Desserts were tempting so we caved and shared an excellent key lime pie. I thought the wine list was overpriced- we chose a white that was $10 cheaper at another local restaurant. Service was good and the music coming from the bar area was just loud enough and very smooth.
