If you want the perfect dining experience, you can't go wrong with elas. Everything was great from the moment we walked in till we left. Views, food, service all outstanding. Some of the best wine prices I have ever seen, we had a bottle of Caymus Special Selection for $130, the same price we paid for a bottle of regular Caymus at other restaurants. Dinner at Ela's is a must when visiting Hilton Head

Ela's has the best seafood on HHI. Both the Grouper and Halibut that we had last week was excellent. This is one of the best seafood restaurants that we have been to in quite some time.
We had been told ELA's was a great place to visit but weren't sure because of the mixed reviews we had read online. I DON'T know what the reviewers were complaining about, we had an AMAZING experience. There were several seafood options and everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. I got the Ribeye that is organic from Chicago and loved it, the coffee rub was amazing and the summer risotto that I added was light and oddly enough, refreshing!! My husband had the halibut. Food quality was OK, much better food can be easily found on the island. Portion size was very small weighed against comparable retaurants on HHI. I had the pan seared grouper which lacked any sauce and was a bit dry/overcooked. It was a very small piece as well. Nothing about it would make me order it again.
We were very pleased with the food and service and would recommend...server was excellent and mindful that we needed to be out of the restaurant because we were attending a play at the Arts Center. We were all very pleased, My Caesar Salad and crab cake was lovely and my friends raved about the shrimp and Grits and others loved the grouper. Very positive experience.
Great new find. Parking can be a problem, but you soon forget it once you are seated and taking in the view.
Ela's did everything right until our food came. The table was as ordered, service was fine, but everything was overcooked. The blackened oysters had to sent back because they were uneatable. All four main dishes were overcooked, and with fish and lobster not a tasty thing. They would have been better off if they had said " sorry we are out of vegetables " instead of serving the dried out items that were put on our plates. The desserts were very good.
