Excellent food and.service for the.Thanksgiving holiday. Cant.wait to go back during the summer. They offered specials for the holiday but also featured regular menu items which was nice to have the choice. Definitely for.the more discriminating taste and presentation was great too. Very nautical feel and.atmosphere.
We went to Ela's for Thanksgiving dinner. Walking it we were seated promptly. The ambiance was warm and cozy. We had to wait a little while to be waited on, but our server seemed to have quite a few tables to deal with, so it was understandable. She was very nice and very informative. I guess the downside is the food really was not worth the price. Very high priced for so so food. Might be. a nice place to go for a drink and listening to music.
This restaurant is the most romantic place to dine on the island...view, ambiance, food and service all 5 stars...I had the grouper, which was amazing and my wife had the filet, which she claims was one of the best meals she's had in the last decade, which speaks terribly about my cooking... wines are priced amazingly great with an interesting selection of wines from all over the world...This is a must visit on the island, a TRUE gem!
Gorgeous views of harbor from deck. Nice atmosphere with live soft keyboard music. Service was very good. Most of our party enjoyed the food. The swordfish recommended by our server however, was overcooked and bland. Steak and lobster entrees were delicious.
Celebrated our anniversary - Beautiful view, excellent food preparation & presentation. The wait staff was excellent and did not rush the service. Would definitely recommend Ela's for a special occasion or for a fine dining experience. Would definitely return.
This place had hit rock bottom a couple of years ago, but it is now vastly improved. We hope it keeps going up.
Great ambience for casual dining for a couple or small group. Not recommended for families with small children. Low lighting at night with just enough tables outside to keep scene intimate but not isolated. Service was excellent, checking on our needs but not intrusive. Easy online reservations. Great seafood, priced for a special occaision and well worth every penny.
Ela's is located at the Shelter Cove Marina. On the evening we visited, it was a rainy night. However, if you're lucky enough to go on a beautiful evening they have patio seating overlooking the water. Our dishes were beautifully plated and delicious. I'd definitely recommend a trip to Ela's when you visit Hilton Head
When we are visiting we always choose one place to eat at on the final evening -- Ela's wins every time!
