Overall experience was delightful. Server was untrained and appeared really without the professional finish you would expect in a restaurant of this caliber. If not for that it would have been a solid five stars.

The absolute our 1st good meal on Hilton Head in spite of study of reviews. This restaurant more than lived up to reviews & expectations. The view is magnificent, & the food matches. We had lobster carbonara & it actually contained lobster. The service.was sedate & professional. The wine list is extensive & well noted. This restaurant is a regional gem.

Very nice dining experience, but ni view at night so go when you cn see the harbor, Pricey, but good.

Food and service was great. A little noisy from a table of four that were over the edge in shouting. Came back a second day to enjoy your deck it was great. Server Ron is an amazing young man and great representative from Detroit

We had a fabulous experience at Ela's for dinner several nights ago. Dinner was incredible, and the ambience and view are certainly hard to beat. I had a chicken/pretzel entre that was so yummy! It has one of the best water views on Hilton Head Island. A hidden gem. The staff and management are experts in customer service. I truly recommend the experience, you won't be sorry!

We enjoyed ELA very much. There was a live guitarist playing, but not too loud, good balance between being able to listen to music and still talk to each other. We were seated in a small table overlooking the Shelter Cove water, and at sunset, the sky was really beautiful. I had the seared grouper, and my husband had the filet. This place is so special! It's classy (higher end) dinning with a relaxed approached. The servers are extremely friendly and knowledgable without being uptight or snooty. Food is absolutely the best we had on the island! Scallops and Grouper are simple and so amazing! The view is incredible, if the weather was better we could have stayed outside all night! This is absolutely a must "see for yourself" restaurant! Incredible evening!

Four of us had another very good meal on Sunday night. We sat in the rear to get the view over the marsh as the sun went down. The down side was the chatter and baby noises coming from the room upstairs that echoed down through an open area in the ceiling. But , we had a family reunion there and created the same noises so , with the soft music playing it was not a serious issue. The fish was excellent, properly prepared and beautifully served.
