New to Charlotte- Great Community The silos south end apartments created an excellent and welcoming home as my first apartment after high school. The south end area of Charlotte is an unbelievable spot for young professionals that contains great breweries, fun restaurants and a light rail train that runs directly to Uptown. A huge pool, outdoor areas, unreal community spaces and a great gym round out an overall spectacular experience. Highly recommend.
Silos the silos are a great community with a diverse group of residents. the ammenities are off the charts with a great fitness center, activities and office center. then to top it off the office employees are all friendly and helpful and the apartments are new with minimal issues.
Silos-- "Resort" style living? I have lived at the Silos for close to a year, and have mostly positive remarks. First, let me talk about location. Silos is located in Southend, about 5 minutes outside of Uptown. If you enjoy craft beer, Silos is next door to Triple C Brewing (my favorite) and walking distance to Sycamore Brewing. You can walk to Macs (a local BBQ place with the BEST veggie burger around!!!) and you can walk to Newbern station to easily hop on the Light Rail. Resort apartment living The Silos is exactly what you would expect it to be. We have an amazing pool area with a huge TV & 2 grills which is perfect any time of year because the pool is salt water! We also have other great amenities like a movie room, pool & poker tables, cooking classes, brunch every Saturday, yoga studio, gym.. I'm sure I'm leaving something out! True life..... I live at a resort! Silos is a resort. This place has everything you need and more. The amentities that make this place so great include a saltwater resort style pool, dog park, complementary dog grooming, free Starbux coffee, movie theater, movement studio, multiple rooftop terraces and lounges, etc. This is a perfect place for young professionals and is located in Southend which is a vibrant part of the city that has lots of character. I would not... (Verified Renter) I would not recommend this apartment due to the thin walls and ceilings. The neighbor noise is the worst I have heard in an apartment building- and these people are not being overly loud.
A lot of... (Verified Renter) A lot of parties happen in our building, so any resident needs to be prepared. Additionally, it took a full month to get the internet working. Spectrum sent me off with incorrect equipment and had about 5 ling phone conversations to finally get it working and 2 trips to the retail store for correct equipment. A month is a long time to be without internet in my home!
Resort style The units are not well maintained. Required charges for water, valet trash and cable. No customer service. The community grounds are not kept up; bad emergency lighting and parking lot lights, trash and bad odors, stained carpets In building common areas. The elevators smell like urine and not serviced. The amenities do not function and are out dated. Parking is big a problem.
