I had a 9am appointment. My 4 yo unexpectedly became ill that morning. I came early to my appointment to ask if I needed to reschedule due to their policy of children. The front desk staff informed me I just needed an adult to supervise my child in waiting room. I called a friend and moved my appointment an hour later. Fabulous facility and easy to schedule online. Technicians were kind and efficient. However - do make sure you know what your insurance covers. The person at the desk smiled sweetly and said the up-sale mammogram was covered by my insurance! Happy day! Except it isn't. But because I agreed to it I am responsible for the upcharge. I hope it was worth it to them because I won't be back.
I went in for a mammogram after my Dr. (next door) asked me to. Had a mammogram, ultrasound and finally a Dr came in to do the ultrasound and confirm what she saw. She told me I needed a biopsy. Stressed after the visit, I went to Baylor 2 weeks later to get my biopsy and the ultrasound from them vs Solis was totally different. Baylor's was very clear. I asked the Dr. why. They run the patients through like cattle. Very rushed and very impersonal. You can count on your results being inconclusive, so that you have to go back and get a second mammogram unless you want to be billed for their 3D mammogram.
I went in for a mammogram in Plano tx and sadly did not have a sitter for my 4 year old , being a single mom and no family to help out. I asked the ladies up front if they could help me out just this one time. I apologized and begged for them to help me out. One lady looked at me like she had seen her husband naked, disgusted!!! STAY AWAY! PREY ON VULNERABLE WOMEN! I went in for an initial screening for my first mammogram. I was nervous, but the staff was nice and made me feel comfortable. I was called 30 minutes after my appointment and was told that the results were "inconclusive". I asked what that meant and was told that they were "inconclusive" that they couldn't give me any more information. Had my first visit at Solis because my usual place, Sue de Mille in Plano, did not have an appointment time in December that worked for me. My OB-GYN recommended Solis and they had plenty of appointments available. The front desk staff was efficient and brought me back quickly, even though I was 30 minutes early. Wait time for the mammo was pretty short but after that is where it went downhill. Incompetent and unprofessional. Failed to obtain old records/films for comparison. This is so they can refer you for more expensive testing without bothering to see if any changes were there before. Mammography tech was too busy discussing her own medical problems to pay attention to her job.
Their website: "Our staff is dedicated to providing you with a warm, caring experience." Had annual mammogram appt today for 1 pm & left at 3 pm. Had to wait 45 min. between mammogram & sonogram; when I asked why, no one had an explanation for the long wait, except "there was someone before me." I've been a patient there many years, & all I can say is it has gone downhill. One can only hope the radiologists are more skilled than the staff.
