I have been to Solis Women's Health 3 times in the last 3 weeks and dealt with Dr. Miles 2 of the times. Each time, I knew ahead of time how much money was expected of me and how long I would be there (well, I did ask). Everyone I met there was kind and compassionate and knew what they were doing. Yes, there was breaks between the first diagnostic mammogram and the sonogram the second time, and I did have to wait the last time to start the biopsy process. My doctor recommended Solis to me during my last visit. I made my appt. and had a mammogram last Wed., Aug. 12th at 7:00 a.m. I was hesitant as I'm sure many women are during this procedure. I paid the extra $75.00 to have the 3D screening (not covered by my wonderful health insurance-boo!) Anyway, I let the receptionist and the mammography technician know that I was apprehensive. Very friendly staff. I felt comfortable and at ease for my mamogram. I paid a little extra for 3-D mamogram and I'm happy that I did.
This review is from a visit last April 2013. I had to go in for my first mammogram and was nervous. The facility was nice, clean and waiting room was comfortable. My technician was a humerous lady who was quick and explained everything. Overall I felt it was a good experience.
I was happy with my routine services at Solis. I called and was able to get a same day appointment. This was helpful so I didn't chicken out. I thought the office was really nice, beautifully decorated and I felt calmer than I expected during my wait. A good environment helps with that. I usually go to the Carrollton location which is great! I had a recall for an abnormal mammogram so had to go to this location. I was quoted $620 for the exam due to my deductible so I asked for the cash pay price which was $330 which I had sent by quote on email. I also work in healthcare and know we also often offer patients with deductible plans to pay out of pocket for labs or imaging etc to save money. I'm 42 years old and received my 2nd exam here. After my visit, they requested me to come back in for a second look on my left breast. I scheduled immediately and the exam that received was EXCRUCIATING!! The tech smashed my breast so hard that I screamed immediately and advised that it was hurting several times and began to cry. The tech then advised to just be still and hold my breath to take the photo. I have never felt that type of pain during any scam & will NEVER be back. Problem with billing! Solis turned my balance over to collections after mailing me ONE invoice. I'm now on my 4th call to them to get resolved. I'm asking for collections to be removed and for Solis to resend copy of original invoice so I can get Solis paid. Beware if you have any billing issues with them - even if not your fault or responsibility(!) they are VERY difficult to resolve.
If you are only wanting an ultrasound (instead of a mammogram), then THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. I was told they would do both, but If I elected to not get a mammogram, then they would not be able to see me even though my referring physician submitted a work order for an ultrasound.
