When my girl German Shepherd bloated at 1 in the morning on a Friday they spent no time getting her into surgery. because of them she is one of very few dogs to survive bloat.

Will never return and will definitely let others know of my visit today!! The lady at the front needs to find a new job (terrible attitude) ! Was there over 5 hours, the nurses in the back was very nice but I will never return or recommend, next time I will go to N Nevada by Costco I’ve been there many times and never treated as I was here! Safe yourself the hassle and go else where but watch out this one is linked to the others except N Nevada!!!

In February, after receiving word my dog had been found and released to Powers Pet Emergency, I went in praying they had him. Not only did they enter his chip number incorrectly, but they refused to double check themselves saying that the numbers and dogs did not match. They wouldn't do anything to help me. When I showed the receptionist my pictures of him, she cut me off, without looking at the photos, and told me she didn't even know what the stray in back looked like because she hadn't even looked at the dog yet. I even h... read more

Business response:

Dear Allie, we are happy that your fur baby was brought in by a good samaritan unscathed. Our protocol for found pets is they get an intake sheet upon arrival and the sheet follows the pet untill they leave, whether released to the owner or to the Humane Society. I have tried to reachout to our front desk staff and requested any information pertaining to your case. Unfortunately from 4 months ago, it is somewhat problematic to get accurate and fresh information. We take in found pets as a free service to our community withou... read more

I had a horrible experience last night where staff was very rude and inattentive. My dog ended up in a worse condition than what I brought her in. We were lied to from the get go, saw the vet for 2 seconds only once in a 6 hour span. Beware...if you love your dog don’t bring them here. (Still waiting on the call from the office manager there).

Business response:

Good morning Ms. Amber, I am sorry to hear about your experience with us. I just got into work about 5 minutes ago and I was notified that you have left me a VM. Expect my call very soon. Toufic. Manager.

Absolutely horrible. My dog was brought in as a stray because he wasn't wearing a collar. He had a small cut on his face and they told me they already worked on him and I would have to pay for the service even though he was only there for 20 minutes tops. They said they shaved his face and cleaned the wound and refused to give him back to us unless we paid the $117. We paid and the dog came out without the wound addressed FACE WAS NOT SHAVED, they blatantly lied to us. I WILL NEVER GO TO OR RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL, IN FACT I... read more

Took my cat in for a blood test and they punched her and broke her tooth. They offered to fix the tooth, and she died because of complications they overlooked with the anesthesia. Then, without asking, they resuscitated her and charged me $4,000 for it. THEN the morons didn't even know basic math to put it into the computer and tried overcharging me. I had to explain what 2+2 is to the derps at the front desk. Then I paid the full balance with my credit card, and 9 months later they are trying to sue me for $1,000 but won't ... read more

Business response:

Mr Matt, we have tried to lookup your account to investigate your allegation/complaint. Please provide us with the owner's name that the cat was under as we did not find you in our database. Toufic. Manager.

The doctor didn’t really sound confident when she was explaining to me what could be wrong with my dog’s eye. I asked for her to write down the possibilities because the medical jargon can be overbearing and when the 4th new person came in the room to discharge us she just pointed at what was on the paper and said that’s the best she could do. I left more worried than when I walked in.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are very sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience when you came in for emergency care for your pup. At Powers Pet Emergency & Specialty, one of our practice’s core values is quality service. As such, we make it a priority to provide personal, professional, and compassionate service. We want all of our clients to feel confident they have chosen the right resource to care for their pet, especially in urgent cases. We will be sharing your comments and experien... read more

On the 21st of July, I came home from work at 4am to find my 19 year old pit bull Elektra was unable to lift her head or move. I panicked of course especially when I saw that she had released her bowels and had such an awful look in her eyes. I carefully picked her up and took her to my truck where I held her all the way to this clinic (husband drove us). When we got there we told them we wanted to do whatever to help her, but not for her to suffer. They got her to be able to lift her head after some time and bundled her up ... read more

Luckily, we went when it was not busy and got right in. The general staff was very kind and helpful. It went downhill from there with the incompetent, unsympathetic doctor who told us that my dog's acute lameness and pain was because of her arthritis. Mattie had obvious signs of distress and pain. The doc torqued on her leg relentlessly, knowing it was excruciating for my girl. She didn't even suggest an x-ray. I had to demand one. The results were clear and she informed us that Mattie fractured her tibia; while it was clear... read more
