Love Dr. Lee who is great with my reactive dog and was also so wonderful to my elderly lab before I had to say goodbye. I really wish policies were different there. I've been a long time customer and have been going to the clinic for well over 10 years. Since they moved to their new clinic I have found it's almost impossible to get an appointment without having to pay a $200 emergency fee for an urgent appointment. Tried to bring our dog here for a gastronomic issue before trying AERC in Oakdale, was told it would be a few hours' wait. Person we spoke with seemed to get into a verbal with one of the vets right in front of us. Extremely unprofessional by both, I get stress runs high and clearly they were busy but this was a bit ridiculous. Left, went to AERC, and all is well. First and last time we'll visit Southview. Two stars because the person we were speaking with was kind and didn't seem to be the instigator.
Don't take your dog to this place. We had a bad experience from the start and now our fur baby is gone.
Will not return to this place. I took my dog late one night for emergency care and came back to pick him up late as directed when ready. I am abolutely appalled that they called the police stating I sounded intoxicated and with slurred speech. I barely had any conversation with anyone there others than how to give my dog the meds. I was pulled over within 2 blocks of the place. I had not a drop of liquor. I worked all day and mind you in the medical field myself. This was sooo unbelievable. Was the only place I could find open on a Sunday, they couldn't get me in for hours, my pup was struggling to breath, I called back to let them know, they said you can came sit here and see if we can get you in but its not likely, I went there and sat for a little bit when it was our turn my pup coded, the tried CPR and he didn't make it. $600 dollars later and I lost my baby.... I don't recommend
Overlooked issues with my sweet two year old dog and the only concern seems to be as many expensive procedures as they can add on time and time again. This place used to be good YEARS ago. Now they just want your money and have zero concern for animals. Sad.
We have brought both our dogs here and seems there is always an up charge/service. We called last night and talked to a tech about our dog. We had him at the dog park and he had some tender paws. Not cracked or bleeding, just a little bit of discomfort. We were looking for some ideas to sooth his pads but instead we were told we really needed to bring him in and get X-Rays etc. Not one bit of advice on how to relieve our dogs tenderness. We won't be going back to Southview.
We brought our beautiful Pomeranian to the vet, after a 3 hour wait and me having to ask for water for her since she was dehydrated they decided to keep her overnight. They called in the morning saying she was great and we could come get her. I thought I had to wait 24 hrs (their policy) said I would be there at 4 PM. They called at 3 PM asking when I would come. We took our leopard gecko here twice for an eye issue. Both times they prescribed antibiotics and charged us over $100 each time. Eye problem continued. We stopped into Twin city Reptile and the guy behind the counter looked at a picture of our gecko, informed us she had shed stuck in her eye and instructed us how to remove it. I would expect a Vet who claims to treat reptiles would know the basics or at the very least as much as the guy behind the counter at the pet store. Do not bring your reptiles here.
