We have been going to Dr. Foster/Southview Animal Hospital for many years. He has taken care of many of my fur babies and I trust him and his colleagues completely. He diagnosed one of my dogs with liver shunt and then set it up to take care of it with a specialist at his clinic. When another of my babies was terminally ill and deteriorated quickly, he met us in the office in the middle of the night to make her comfortable. He wasn't even the vet on call that night! This is hands down THE BEST vet clinic I have ever been to. I've had dogs my entire life and always used the clinic in my hometown of Faribault. Once I met the owner Mike of Southview Animal Hospital and brought both of my dogs here, I'll gladly drive the 45 minutes here for their care. My Lhasa had a few teeth removed for a fraction of what my hometown vet wanted, and when my Shiba needed immediate care they got her in right away. Mike and all the staff at Southview have always been the best to us and our cats. I find it very hard to believe the review from Linda S on here on 3/6/2018 could be anywhere close to being true. This place will go out of there way to do what ever it takes to take care of your pets.

This is hands down the best Vet EVER!!!!!! My cat needed emergency surgery.. I called everywhere to see who could get him in. Every other vet said they were full. Southview however, accepted him even with a full schedule! They saved my cats life!!! Dr. Foster and his team are amazing! Will definitely be telling everyone about this place!!! As an update; the owner reached out to me to apologize and attempt to rectify this situation. He also explained the need for multiple vets and suggested asking again for the same vet upon return. I absolutely appreciate this effort and all the work he put in to reaching out. This speaks very highly of the owner and I hope it translates throughout the clinic.

When our family dog was hit by a car and in serious condition Dr Foster made sure that we went there and he took awesome care of us!! Not only did he call the doctor on 7 times before we got there but he told her not to talk money at all and that it will be dealt with in the morning. After coming from an awful vet they were amazing here! I would drive the extra 30 minutes to see them! They really care about your family pets before money!

Absolutely loved their service, staff, and convenience of hours in our time of need. We had A Great Dane we didn't want to make suffer through another day until a weekday when most vets were open. The staff at Southview were very gracious and even with a full schedule, they fit us in and helped lay her to rest. Would easily recommend anyone looking for a vet to give Southview some consideration.

I have had my last 3 dogs there and they r all wonderful and caring ! We now have a new pup and just brought him up there because we trust them so much with our dogs and everyone really cares and loves all the animals !

I've known Dr Foster for over 12 years - he was at a clinic in Plymouth, then moved here. I take in hard knock cases, and he, along with the entire staff, have bent over backwards for me. The vets are all incredible here, but Dr Foster is the one I trust the most, due to my history with him. There is a staff person there 24/7, and they also are on-call for emergecies, and don't refer out to an after hours emergency clinic. And they do housecalls - not too common anymore.
