Normally I take my Guinea pigs to another exotics vet in the area but due to COVID they are now closed on the weekends. I found that Spanaway Vet was open weekends and booked an appointment online. When I arrived, I called in and got a busy tone. I kept trying and trying and again, busy tone each time I called in. Finally got through and was placed on hold. When the receptionist got on the line I told her I was checking PigPig and Zelda in, and she said “who?”. So that made me feel a little uneasy as it sounded like an incon... read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE WITH YOUR PRECIOUS ANIMALS!!!! I called about my cat after she had a surgical procedure done in their clinic. I tried for a week to find different ideas to help my cat recover from this procedure. I call and speak to Cameron. He tells me they are very busy so the doctor will get back to me not till after 6pm today or tomorrow morning. I felt that was very unreasonable and he told me that my cat was obviously not that important to me otherwise I would have called sooner!

The front desk ladies need to be more RESPECTFUL. Every time I've called they have sighed at me and they seem to be doing me a HUGE favor by even speaking to me. I'M SORRY I AM GIVING YOU BUSINESS because I will no longer be!

Have your front desk ladies be more RESPECTFUL and not sigh when picking up the phone. It seems like they are doing me a HUGE favor by even speaking to me. I'M SORRY I AM GIVING YOU BUSINESS because I will no longer be!

I was called Wednesday to come pick up the ashes of our 10 month old kitten. Today I went. I opened the door and a woman at the desk began pointing her point her finger at me and telling me to get out. I'm in the doorway confused trying to explain why I'm there. She continues yelling at me to get out and that she knows why I'm there. I continue asking her to listen to me. She continues to yell at me that she already knows and to wait outside. This continues and she says that someone is bring my TWO cats ashes out. I'm still... read more

Sunday evening and I called at 4:15 PM. clinic closes at 5 PM on Sunday. I was told they do take walk ins but they're very busy in the back not sure if they could even see him and were closing soon. I had a very sick cat and just moved to the area. Will not ever take either of my cats to this vet. They claim caring and compassion but they were too busy to even take a look at him during business hours. She sounded like she just wanted to go home like I was bothering her.

Business response:

We are so sorry to hear you have a sick cat and had this experience. Your babies are important to us. Please give our hospital a call at your convenience and speak with the hospital manager. If your cat is still under the weather please bring him in tomorrow morning. We open at 700am and our doctors will take care of you and your baby.

They need to quit de-clawing cat’s claws. This is not a simple thing for the cat/kitten. This is cutting their toes off at the end of their paws. Like cutting your fingers and toes off at the first knuckle. Please there are a lot of different ways to deal with a cat clawing things, just read about “The Paw Project” . Most of the time that a cat is declawed there is more behavioral problems due to the cat walking in pain the rest of its life. Please stop this barbaric practice. This is Banned in all countries except fo... read more
