My wife and I go to Star Cinema Grill 2 or 3 times a month. Unfortunately since they moved to Baybrook the service has gone downhill. Lately I seem to spend more time trying to get the correct order then watching the movie that I paid for. My last experience was this last Friday 3/24/24017 I ordered the Desperado Tacos, beef, flour tortillas and Texas toothpicks. What I received was beef tacos, corn tortillas with chips and salsa. I received my Burger and fries, asked for more ketchup for fries and never got it
i would rather spend as much eating at a restaurant instead. The seats were ok, but not that comfortable , I think i'll stick with Cinemark myself.
We have been to this theater several times and have always been pleased, however this time the service was definitely not up to past standards.
RecommendedEverything was good except for the fact my legs are long and I wanted to stretch them out but couldn't because of the staff going back and forth...I believe I need to pick a dead end next time
Since the move to the new location, they don't seem to have worked out the bugs. I think the reply/service time really needs some work. We were in a half full theater and it took 15 minutes for a coke for my son. Our mixed drinks came out first and they have definitely lost some of their kick. The "margarita" was mostly sweet and sour. The food was great on the other hand.
RecommendedWas clean and always good drinks but the popcorn ALWAYS comes out cold, I even asked my waitress to make sure it came out warm after 45 minutes of waiting on it, and it STILL came out cold.
My biggest negative was that they seem to be getting cheaper on their food. We go there to be able to watch a movie and let the kids eat and it is not cheap. My son is autistic and if you know autism then you know it is picky. He loves it because he can eat the chicken strips and has a chair that seems to keep him quiet throughout the movie.
