I lived there for 7 months. I was contacted via letter that my dog looking like a “pitbull” was a problem all of a sudden. Not once did they ask to see him (like all apartments due upon moving in) or for any records. They assumed what he was and didn’t even ask for vet records for proof. Also my AC was breaking almost every 2 weeks during the summer time. We had a problem arise with the application, I did not even know about it until I went in the office to complain about the AC AGAIN.
Major issues with the Sterling Group. Just today called the office to run off non residents from the pool area for the umpteenth time. They were playing loud, racially offensive music and openly drinking which violates the rules. The courtesy offer gets them to leave but the people left trash, towels and coolers of beer in the pool area for anyone, child or adult, to find. Called the office because people (non residents) were partying, playing loud music with offensive language and openly drinking alcohol. The office calls security, the people end up leaving and leave coolers of beer unattended along with all of their trash in the pool area. We watched the people leaving in their car leaving the apartment complex. And yes I have pictures. Tried to call the office back and could only leave a message for maintenance emergency and still waiting for that call back
I’ve never lived here, but I worked as a leasing agent for 3+ months and couldn’t stand it any longer. As long as Tina S is the manager here there will never be any peace for anyone working at this property. It’s very sad because it’s a beautiful community in a great location! I’ve never known a manager to be as full of drama as she is. The employees are disrespectful and rude. Poorly maintained and running down. This was such a waste for me.

My wife and I have lived at Yorkwoods, The Sterling Groups property in Columbia, SC for a year and a month. In this period of time our LOCKED car has been broken into three times. The first time we informed the front desk and they tried to blame it on us saying we must not have locked our door properly and they informed us and that they would ask corporate for cameras. Our car doors are always locked, they break in through our passenger side door as when we get to the car it’s unlocked and ajar. The thieves had used an acces... read more

At York Woods, vehicles did not have any signs of forced entry and the police believe only unlocked vehicles were targeted.
