We took our parents to Stone Creek last night for their 49th wedding anniversary and while the food was mediocre the service was terrible. We chose Stone Creek because it appeared to be a nice upscale restaurant and was close to where my parents live. My wife and I drove up from Louisville and met my parents at the restaurant where we were greeted by a pleasant receptionist who took us to our table. Menu choices are always good, however, meat (chicken, fish) was dry. We've had inconsistent experiences here. 7 people dined and 3 had meat that was overcooked/dry. I've had this issue before here which seems that it would be related to the chef / cook on staff that night. For the money, meat should be cooked better. Enjoy the ambiance, wait staff/service, menu variety, but wish the consistency was there with the finished product.
Food used to be outstanding and now it is not very good. It's disappointing to go out for the evening and pay for a meal that I could have cooked better at home.
8 family members, age 10-70 celebrating the 70 year old Bday. Service was good. Food was average to above. We ordered 2 Blackened Mai Mai fish entrees. They both were way to spicey with the blackened seasonings, couldn't taste the fish. The salad with chicken had too much salad dressing, should have asked for it on the side. While the food was good, our server never returned to the table to check on us. No other servers/managers were around. We had to track down our server to get refills, then to get the check, and then even to come back to take the check! Needless to say, I will not be back nor recommend this restaurant.
I used to love Stone Creek but the last few times we have been there it has been a disappointment. The food is just not good anymore. Not sure if there is a different Chef but we had 6 in our party and none of us were pleased. The calamari was delicious but everything else not at all. We ordered a bowl of the cheddar broccoli soup and it was so salty no one could eat it. For the price not worth it at all. Very disappointed.
Someone in our party called the restaurant to inform them that we were celebrating a 21st birthday. Stone Creek did not acknowledge the birthday at all. After we had finished our entrees, we told the server that we were celebrating my son's birthday. The server said "Happy birthday," but that was all. We will not be back for any more celebrations.
