Table had lots of food on the floor, bus person did not complete the preparation from previous occupant. Our terrific waitress got a little machine and cleaned it up.
Had to wait several minutes past our reservation tome for the hosteds to decide where to seat us, in a mostly empty dining room. All because we 4 60-somethings asked not to be taken upstairs with a room full of female athletes. Everything else was great.
Waiter not attentive. He also got 2 or 4 orders very wrong. Wonder if he was new. He seemed nervous.
We have been there many times before as it is close to our office and home so we go there for business and socially. Perhaps they were having an off night. They seated us and didn't have any set-ups on the table. We had to ask for water. When we asked for napkins and silverware they piled them up on the end of the table instead of putting them in front of the guests. This was a complete train wreck this evening. Stone creek has always been a good option for a family night out; what happened tonight was disappointing. It started when our drink order was messed up. I order a Guinness and I was given some poor tasting pale ale. My 6 year old ordered lemonade and he was given Sprite. We found this out after refill #3. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and the staff was very friendly and efficient. The food however, for this scale of a restaurant was lacking in flavor and wow factor like restaurants of the same caliber usually do.
The food was good, not great for the price. It was kind of plain. The Caesar salad had no taste. For the price I feel like they could do better. My wife and I dine out a lot and never want to go out of our way to go to Stone Creek. I would go out of my way for a restaurant if it was really something special.
