In June, July, and August, Stream charges for gas was 0.00 because I lived in Louisiana taking care of my ill mother. However, there were additional fees of $45.00 per month for .1 gas supplied to my apartment. After speaking with several representatives and requesting an explanation, submitting a disconnect notice online, and sending an email, I was told that the .1 was for using Atlanta gas piping. Noticing an uptick in my bill since July '21 and saw that my rate had gone from 075 up to 12 cents kwh. Called them to get it straightened out. I was told by Claudia it would be no problem crediting me back the overage because they did not contact me to inform that my contract was about to expire. Which is what they are required to do to give the customer the option of renewing or cancel. I was told they would send out a check. Texas. Monday at 3:28PM. Horrible experience with customer service. Whoever "Veronica" is, just left the call silent for 10 minutes when she couldn't figure out a solution for a very simple problem. I haven't been able to log into the mystream website for over a year and decided to finally call and have an account set up over the phone. I went through 2 representatives and then passed over to someone named Veronica. My bill last doubled. I have never used that much energy in a month. I have lived in this house 22 years. I called and ask them to re-read the meter. They told me I had to call Texas New Mexico. I did and requested a new reading. Texas New Mexico told me that Stream had to send a written request. I called back to stream and they refuse to do it. They say it not their job to request new reading

I set up an account on April 27th with Stream. They ran my credit, took my deposit, and confirmed an account number. I was told everything was good to go. I call to get my bill and they tell me there was no account ever set up. They said they have to set up a new account and would run my credit for the 2nd time. I stressed that this is such a bad impact because I'm working on my credit, I just moved and already had a lot of inquiries, including them the first time, and begged them to not run my credit for the 2nd time. Stream Energy is engaging in UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES. They changed their payment systems and it is impossible to make a payment. When you enter Checking it automatically changes it to savings when it reaches the bank it is auto changed to savings account, therefore your payment does not process. They never inform you of this. They sent a DIsconnect notice to cut off on 5/10/21. Well they cut it off on 5/5/21 with nothing owed on bill! They have made it impossible to do Business with them. No Customer Service will ever help... read more

I switched my plan on March 17th. BEFORE the next cycle started. They had no problem NOT having it sent before my next bill cycle on April 8th. I got the run around that it will take another month at double the rate. Cancel and go elsewhere. Period.

Horrific, I am looking for a lawyer to represent me. They refuse to send me my bill after requesting my bills for over a year. After regulations were lifted due to the pandemic in August 2020, my gas was turned off. I happen to have my disabled mother and a visitor visiting me from out of town. Never once did I receive a bill from them, so I didn't even know I had gas with the company. Stream Energy exhibits an absolute lack of care for their customers or the "service" that they offer. My wife and I got our first apartment with gas in May of 2019. When we activated the gas, we were under the impression it would be just like our electric bill - a utility provided at a rate that, even if under a "contract," would automatically renew. Our rate was apparently not renewed, and we were not notified. We did not find this out, however, until our gas bill was exponentially higher than it would have been in November... read more
