I have been using Joel for over 30 years and have been happy all this time. Joel does what is right for his customers. I have had them do everything from Engine repair to Smog work and have not had any issues with any of the work done by this shop. The work is very Professional at reasonable prices.

I went to this busy shop with high expectations. It's unfortunate every interaction I've had with them has been rushed and unproductive. When I took my car in originally they didn't really seem to be too interested in listening to the list of problems I was having with it. I suppose their fancy $90 diagnostic scan can tell them that. Spent $500 to leave the shop with my engine light still on. The problems were a little better for a couple weeks but they had for this price put a short lived band-aid on the engine problem. So this is not my first time at getting service at Joels, and I have always had really good experiences. I usually just go in for basic service, oil change, brakes, etc... This time I went in for an A/C service so I thought it was time I said something good about this place. The customer service is always spot on, never a problem with pricing, believe me I have checked around, and as far as getting the work done in a timely matter, the were right on time. First off...let me just say that I am Joel's #1 fan! I am a single-mom who just recently purchased a 2000 VW Jetta from a private party that took every measure to try to cover up numerous mechanical problems. I went to another mechanic and spent over $1100 in repairs, but my car continued to break down. I contacted Joel who was more then happy to take my lemon for a test-drive and give me an estimate. Brought in my 2007 Civic for brakes and oil change, the price was reasonable and the service was awesome... Joel was really nice and explained everything. When I was sitting in the lobby I was talking to another customer who had nothing but good things to say about Joel's so I knew I was at the right place :)

Hard to find a honest and talented auto repair shop these days... Joel's automotive is the best experience so far... I'm sold on this place... will go there as long as I live in the LA area

I was nervous about going to the BMW dealer for my BMW 540 repair, which a bad gasket that needed to be replaced . My fears were confirmed when I went to the BMW dealer and got an estimate. I heard that Joel's in Upland is equipped with all the factory equipment needed for BMW repairs, so I brought my car there to see what he could do. I was in disbelief when I found that Joel's estimate was HALF of what the dealer's estimate was. I've had so many problems with my car and been to several auto shops- this makes me an expert customer. With that said, Joels Automotive was by far the best service I have ever encountered. The staff is excellent and so nice. They were very helpful and the level of communication was great which was extremely refreshing. I will definitely be taking my VW to Joels for any auto care I need and would recommend Joels Automotive to anyone.

Great service. Had my AC fixed at another shop 2 months ago and it stopped working. Took it to Joel's. They looked at it right away, found a workmanship problem from the previous shop and fixed it in 15 min. Wow! I have to hold back a 5 start rating until I've used them several times, but I'll definitely be coming back.
