Terribly overpriced. Was charged $90 when I took a dog in with a cut on his foot. No exam, no medication, they didn't even wash it, just looked at it 20 seconds and said it was no big deal. On another occasion, they refused to give me heartgard without me paying for an exam, I had paid for an exam two months earlier and they only sent me home with one pill.

I felt suckered and stupid for not doing a thorough research before bringing my dog in to be neutered. The entire front desk staff were almost rude and 100% unfriendly. None of the staff were showing signs of affection for pets and all they did was giving me a stern look and tone of voice when talking to me. Not even a single smile I got from them. (However, I did notice that they were nice and friendly to certain customers.) My dog was getting nervous and it was getting awkward for me to be talking to a staff who seemed not... read more

I truly wish I good give the Suburban Animal Hospital zero stars. My father brought our dog in to check on a growth she had on her abdomen. After a brief examination, the doctor said our dog had breast cancer which had likely spread to various internal organs. We were told our dog had anywhere from one week to a year left of her life and in order to 'cure' her of the cancer, she would have to undergo various surgeries and treatments which would cost at least $21,000 not including any post-surgery medication. Naturally, my ... read more

I had used Suburban a few times for my dog but will not return. While the vet and tech are amazing (gracious, friendly, knowledgeable) the front desk staff is just plain rude. I called to get help with an additional bill they sent (I had paid in full and a month later I received another bill) and they could not actually send me an itemized bill for the additional charges and proceeded to be just short of callling me an idiot for not paying. Three phone calls later, still no itemized billing statement- the bills they kept sen... read more

I'm not sure how to feel about this place right now. Our vet seems great but the front desk has been horribly rude. Bad attitudes have no business being at the front of your business. It appears as though I'm not alone based on some of the other reviews on Yelp and this similar service http://www.insiderpages.com/b/3722950728

I recently called Suburban Animal Hospital about my dog who had an open sore that wasn't healing. They wouldn't talk to me about it on the phone, and by the time I was able to get in for an appointment the sore had healed. I called to cancel and they said there was a $50 cancelation fee (an appointment is $76). I asked if there was any way it could be waived, since there's no point bringining in a dog that's not sick anymore. The rude receptionist responded that we had been coming there for a year and there are signs everywh... read more

One unpleasant experience and one atrocious one!! There are plenty of more respectful and customer friendly veterinary offices in the area. At one point, I asked to speak to the vet who had seen my dog earlier that day and was told by the receptionist that, "I can leave a message for her to call you, but I can assure you that she won't." I was additionally charged $76 for a "consultation," when I was led to believe my dog would be having surgery that day. $76 to be told what another vet had already told me and to not rec... read more

SHOW ME THE MONEY!!! EMERGENCY CARE OVERPRICED BY GROUCHY DOCTORS You had better bring plenty of money (and some kleenex) with you if your pet has an emergency on a Sunday!! My husband and I had just spent about one thousand dollars on care for our cat that we dearly love and were told by Dr. Benham if we have any problems over the weekend with our cat that Dr. Kalinsky would be on call and would be happy to help us with any problems we might have. Well, that was not the case at all!!! The Sunday receptionist was very ru... read more
